None announced by us yet which is understandable as there is a 2 week difference in the EFL starting (7th August) and the National League (21 August) however the NCEL have announced a Chesterfield XI will visit Handsworth Parramore on Wednesday 14th July 7.30pm kick off

I read somewhere that Matlock are waiting for us to get back to them, presumably because of the uncertainty over when we start, their league programme starts on 14th August

Aiming high again. Same kind of situation developing as last season with the EFL kicking off on the 7th August and us on the 21st. Fell a tour of Derbyshire and the odd foray into Staffordshire coming on

It’ll take some clever planning to avoid another undercooked and damp squib pre-season

Coincidentally had a walk around Matlock and Matlock bath this afternoon. Matlock bath was heaving and increasing signs of people not adhering to any form of social distancing whatsoever likewise you can start to see in the chippies, arcades etc than the wearing of masks indoors is increasingly becoming less adhered to, still the vast majority are but certainly more weren’t than a few weeks ago, across all ages as well.
Incidentally what’s happened to the Wetherspoons in Matlock, seems like it’s been boarded up for months?

It got a fair bit of flood damage before the first lockdown I think, not sure if that's why it's still boarded up.

If it was permanently closed I would have thought they’d have removed all the Wetherspoons signage and info which is clearly still there.

I'm hoping the Blunts owe us one in exchange for using our pitch. Mr Fantom would be licking his lips.

Hoping they my send a player our way. I have it on good authority they have a number of very good youngsters coming through that would benefit from 1st team men’s football.

I would have thought the Blunts would be looking to play them in their first team then seeing how they played last season lol
