He was a great sport as I asked him about the 7-0 defeat to Plymouth, red cards and relegation scraps. He now runs his own coaching school around Oldham http://micacoaching.co.uk/

I'm chatting to Dave Waller at the end of the week so if there's anything you'd like to know then ask away!

Mark Innes came across really well. Glad to hear he's doing ok even if he didn't make it as a tiler.

If you haven't already, ask him if the goal against Halifax at home on a cold Tuesday was his favourite. 1-0 up, then 3-1 down, then win 4-3.

Funnily enough I was thinking the other day that if you bought a house to do up which ex Spireites could you call on. Mark Innes for tiling, Denton for plastering, Kevan Hurst is a building surveyor...

Top footballer and top bloke, my daughter was lucky enough to meet him at a event at the then Proact. She got chatting to him and texted me and asked if I knew him, I told her to ask him about his goal v Halifax. My daughter made arrangements with him as a surprise for me to bring me a programme at the next home game, plus he also came to my 60th birthday celebration. It was a great evening first at the meal followed by a night round town.

Top man.
A schoolmate told me that Dave Waller had been doing some building (might have been decorating) work at Rother Junior School during the school holidays when he was star man at Town. Hard to imagine Jack Lester or Asante having to do similarly to top up their (deserved) wages.

It’s certainly up there, along with the Paul Holland one in the 1-0 win over Blackpool.

I can remember his light shade stall on Chesterfield market. What a finisher he was if fit he would almost guarantee you 20 goals a season!

Some funny stories about Arthur Cox who used to lead the goalkeeper training, pinging balls at him from 10 yards in the Saltergate centre circle and if he dropped one he had to run a lap of the pitch.
It's available on the YouTube page here. https://www.youtube....jC3TKRJSXnV-inQ
And it's also on all the usual podcast platforms (iTunes, Spotify etc)
I'm speaking to David Reeves on next Tuesday if anyone has any questions?
Great interview. Always known him best for coventry but a humble start in football
