Dronfield (Unstone, to be precise), it seems, is the best place to live for superfast broadband.

I may as well join in then...... :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

It's all rubbish though really isn't it? Unless you need mega fast speeds for a living (I don't, do any of you?) then it's all really much of a muchness.

As I type this a BT advert on TalkSPORT, so appears some people will listen to what they are being told.

As for Dronfield... seems OK on the odd occasion I've been there.

I believe I have asked you multiple times to only provide the latest up to date news to do with Portsmouth Pirates - nothing to do with Dronforld Broadband Speeds. You have truly let yourself down today and have shamed your house.

Quicker is handy for the new range of on demand telly which would be rather pointless with some of the speeds mentioned earlier in that article. We use the on demand stuff from Sky quite a bit at home to download the box sets etc they have on offer or stuff from the various catch up services. Also lots of folk streaming stuff from the net, downloading things all of which quicker speeds are better although for most a balance between a decent speed and cost will be fine. Lad i used to work with had BT Infinity at Hady and was getting close to those speeds mentioned at Unstone.

Mind you with some of the new 4G services on mobile networks its not far off those sorts of speeds as well.

True Jon, that SKY feature is excellent especially as you can download an iPlayer episode, catch up etc via the TV itself. But personally it doesn't bother me whether it takes 1 minute or 5 minutes.

I personally grew up in the dial up age, something a number on here won't know about, while at the same time a lot will. The days of waiting four hours for a small file to download only for your mum to ring your landline and it cut off.... :rolleyes:

First mistake, NEVER class Unstone as part of Dronfield. That's like saying Chesterfield is a part of Yorkshire, offensive to the max.

They tried to make it part of Yorkshire long before I was born but the residents forcibly shut down the A-61 until they gave in and withdrew the claim. Sadly there are a lot of Yorkshiremen based here now as there all United and Wednesday fans. Though there are a few corners of civilisation that support town left here

It's sad that many folk who live in North-East Derbyshire add Sheffield to their address, despite the fact they live in Derbyshire.

For places like Eckington, Renishaw, Spinkhill etc it is the correct postal address.

Postal address and post code are two distinct things. Hmmm indeed!

No it isn't. You do not put Eckington, Sheffield. As Eckington is in Derbyshire it should never be put on.

Yes it is.

Eckington, Sheffield is the correct postal address whether you like it or not. The fact you clearly don't doesn't make me wrong.

Try putting a random Eckington address ( xx, High Street will do) in here and see what comes back;
