It's not like this anniversary has snuck up on the club. They have had 150 years to plan a decent event. Work should have started 12, 18, 24 months ago to put on a huge home friendly against attractive opposition. But no. Just like everything else with this shambolic organisation, nothing was planned. They can shove there fancy dinner up their ring.

The clubs article presents the Chatsworth event as a success but I've heard the general feeling was for the price (£150 per head) the event was a total waste of money, entertainment average, with the food not being served until 9.15pm and in the "cafe" . The turnout was 125 (150 was the plan).

I can't say I'm surprised, I had the chance of getting two tickets for nowt originating from a prize winner who couldn't attend but wasn't bothered.

I'm told the club would like to put something on for the ordinary fan, I'd like to think suggestions on here will be considered.

As mentioned previously, if possible put something on at the Winding Wheel or Pomegranate like they did when we left Saltergate with any profit going to the Community Trust.

Those at CFC have had long enough to arrange something, its not like its just crept up on them.

urine poor planning leads to where we are now and it starts at the very top.

It's his new position at the club - Santa Claus at the kids party.

Well done to all at the top table, hope they are still 'buzzing' with our 150th season.

This season has really been one to remember; Happy Anniversary.

I just cant recall those special celebrations and 'special fixture' arranged for the genuine fans, have I missed them?

A big well done to the Sheffield 2.

Buzzing for relegation.

They don't care mate! The only language they understand is £££££. Well maybe I'm doing them a disservice, they're also fluent in $$$$$$ and €€€€€.

And this is where the problem lies, we love the club, they love the money.

Agreed the sooner they disappear back over the hill, up the A61 to Dee-Dah land (& Apperknowle) the better. They can go supporting those at S6 again.

Attention Ashley Carson:

Here's how you celebrate your clubs anniversary, whilst displaying a good bit of PR at the same time. Rochdale AFC have announced that should they sell 4000 plus season tickets, they will reduce to just £110 to celebrate their 110 year anniversary next year.

Agreed. I said only yesterday how pathetic the commemoration has been. A bit on the back of the shirt and an expensive dinner. Give me strength.

I'm actually tempted to try and organise something myself with proceeds to Ashgate if anyone can think of ideas? Maybe a more realistic dinner with players past and present?

Because when we get to 200, if we do then I'll be unlikely to be around!!

Thoughts?

And they will still trade at a profit!

I can understand why people are annoyed about the lack of events to mark our anniversary, but are people that desperate to part with their cash given the circumstances?

On cue, Keith Hill praises Dale's very intelligent owners.

(That line sounds like something from the 'things you will never hear' of CFC's owners in a Mock the Week segment)

I think it's fair to say people wouldn't be celebrating CFC in its current guise, it's more in recognition of all who have passed through and been part of the club from its inception.

I'd quite happily host the event away from the Proact if it meant money didn't go to CFC but charity instead?

An Independent Celebration.

ANy thoughts from anyone?

A charity event at the Bridge Inn every night for a week to allow as many as possible to take part, the Bridge Inn Get rewarded for their hard work and a local charity benefits.
