I think a lot of you fail to grasp that you are asking developement lads to just step in and do the business, it's a simple fact of life - we have experienced players long term injured; we have experienced players not able to do the business any more; we have young Boly with the issues since the transfer window; we have youngsters in vital positions who are trying their best. Confidence is rock bottom and the manager has limited options to change things.

With the senior players back from injury things might be better - who knows.

What we all know is that the route problem is finances whereby the club has a necklace of debt the direct result of our 'football experienced CEO who is very good on the football side of things' and who has for personal gain chosen to get into bed with a very questionable set up run by an equally questionable owner. The club have failed to address the limitations of our CEO by bringing in an experienced person. This situation will continue to the next window where there is an opportunity to help the manager, I have severe misgivings that things will remain with little or no action.

You can give Danny all the advice you want but will it change anything - another Dean Saunders type will parachute in no more financial assistance and the Sheffield 3 will continue presiding over a basket case blaming everything but themselves.

MY VIEW IS DON'T RESIGN DANNY THE PEOPLE THAT MATTER KNOW YOUR WORTH, IF A BUNCH OF REACTIONARIES DON'T KNOW ANY BETTER THATS THEIR PROBLEM. IF WE WANT TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY THAT WILL EFFECT ANYTHING AND THAT IS STAY AWAY.

BUT WHAT WILL HAPPEN THEN.
.

You can't absolve him from all blame Dave. We don't have a game plan, whatever we say about those out in the pitch. We had a multi million pound striker out on the pitch yesterday but we didn't set up to create any chances for him. He isn't going to be here much longer if we can't set up to get some goals whilst he's here we are well and truly twaddled.
P.s the ageing, no pace, fat Evvo needs to be back in the side to lead the team and win some headers

It's only a matter of time before the crowd turn on the management.
The body language of the players is poor. No spark/spring in their step. It all going down the pan.
If I was in Wilson's shoes, I'd just do one. It's all gonna end as a massive stain on his CV if he carries on.

* I hope for his sake that Danny isn't holding out for funds from the January sale of Ched and , ahem, Gbolly. I think he'll be sorely disappointed.

Nailed on for relegation so best if he resigns now rather than getting the sack in the coming weeks/months

Yes to me that's the only way forward as it's quite clear that the current CFC  is being run into the ground, asset stripped and used to finance other interests

What evidence do you have of asset stripping and financing other ventures. If you say that, please back it up.

Hey Danny here's 25 quid go and prepare us a feast.

We sit down at said feast.

Hey Danny this feast is crap!

But you only gave me 25 quid lads.

I know Danny, but YOU picked the ingredients.

Give him a break comrades.

Oust the Dee-dah triumvirate!

Turner says a lot of things, some of which may be true. I can't wait to hear him trying to explain how the tiny profit in the accounts is actually good news.

In a sense they did - but they gave the cash to Saunders who blew it on kids, crocks and benchwarmers.

So much for having a 'football experienced' CEO.

After 47 years of Chesterfield I have never felt more detached from the club. The senior management are about to ruin the club they don't listen and don't care. I am a shareholder bought with money I couldn't afford when our team needed it's fans. Sadly I believe we are further back now than we were then.

One of the only avenues open to us, other than boycotting, is to make the AGM as uncomfortable as possible.

I can only guess here, but given past experience I'd suggest a profit that pales into insignificance against player sales. No doubt touted as some sort of success by Turner and Co. I'd also suggest most if not all attempts to discover where cash is actually going will be met with spin, evasion and terse 'unless you've nine million...' style dismissals.

I take anyone can turn up. I went about 20 years ago as a non - shareholder!

CFC is now worse off by virtue of owing money to DA than it was by owing money to CBC. DA could have charged CFC the same or even less than CBC charged us.

Isn't selling off your best players asset stripping. From what I've read on here regarding the clubs connections with the PPP etc isn't that what's been strongly suggested  or maybe I've read it wrongly

Whilst I agree wholeheartedly with the comments concerning the current board and the difficulties of the manager, I feel that the present situation is caused by a lack of leadership on the field by the senior professionals in the team. Most striking is the lack of leadership by the captain. He has proved to be a difficult signing and has not fulfilled his potential both on and off the pitch. However difficult it may be for Danny Wilson to relieve him of the captaincy I'm sure it would be for the good of the team that he gives someone else the responsibility.

Don't take this to heart but I think the captain issue is bollux - if a team can't perform and it's down to a captain we're fooked. I THINK YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A SCAPE GOAT.

I think there's a good chance a goat would provide more in the middle of the park than Liddle does.

And he'd mow the pitch for nowt.

*AND COULD YOU PLEASE STOP SHOUTING

All good successful teams have good leaders / captains. It matters. No scapegoat, Liddle should not be wearing the armband.
Show class, have pride, and display character. If you do, winning takes care of itself.
