Just heard that the proposed Youth Team forum has been cancelled due to lack of interest - hardly any places reserved despite being free.

Real pity as it was a great opportunity to find out more about the academy and its set up.

I guess most fans have little more a passing interest in the Academy, and probably not enough to make a special journey out for an evening.

Does seem a shame, though.

Perhaps with the modern era as it is, a q and a via you tube could be an alternative with questions sent in to the media department.

Very surprising I must admit.

It is a topic that does appear a lot on this forum and many questions are left un-answered with regards to the systems in place

Paul Mitchell in particular being in attendance would have been very interesting to learn more about

Having it on a Monday night probably didn't help matters a great deal

That's the problem, it was held on a week night, Friday, Saturday or a Sunday u would get them in.
But tweeting in questions or face booking or on here and then a interview on the player or you-tube might be the way to go
It's not sticking!!!

It interests me but I wouldn't go to these events (even the main fans forums). I like to listen from home.

Would be interested to hear who the hottest prospects we have are and what kind of system we use, ie: do we play the youth team the same way as the first team play for prep for the players to make the step up?
Here we go again!

I have been to two academy games this season and liked what I've seen. Monday night isn't a good night for me or I would have gone. Sorry to see this cancelled

Definitely. KO is usually 7pm. I don't know the rules on extra time/pens/replays.
