I actually think Banks would make a better striker than deep central midfielder. He seems set up to play more offensively.

you're a good judge, Banks was the man to start upfront, when Doyle was ill v Yeovil, obviously Doyle pulled through and played. It may be worth noting that we have a further option up top, should we need it.

Correct, since the end of April 2013 at Wenbley!!!!!!

He had no preseason, then scored a stonker with just about his first touch of a football in over 4 months and has fed off scraps since

I had a look on Soccerbase and he's had 5 starts and 9 sub appearances totalling a little under 500 minutes (equivalent of about 5.5 games in 8 months.

I'm disappointed at his lack of progress this season especially as he looked the real deal last year but it would be foolhardy to right him off at this stage

He is another that needs to get out of loan, clubs would snap him up but we don't have the bodies to allow that

Banks was out of form prior to wembley he went off the boil well before then, he is imo a player without a position, if you play him as the deepest of the front 4 you dont get the explosive running , i also think he is a confidence player perhaps a run at centre forward would suit him best as he can finish but obviously it would be off the bench. Its another player who has struggled to adapt due to going up in class too quickly.
ITS NOT THE WINNING,ITS THE TAKING APART

I think last season he showed touch and vision and finishing comfortably above league 2 level

I'm sure both he and Cook would agree with that.
