They will get relegated anyway. Why sack Ranieri now? They got a decent result last night against Sevilla.

He was brought in to save them from relegation.
Why not let him do that (having gone down in history and being in Europes last 16 en route......).

Probably replace with some clown like Pardew

Astonishing. But not surprising these days.

Isn't this about a week after the board said he had their backing 100%?

4 of the last 5 premier league winning managers, have lost their jobs before the end of the following season. Ruthless game.

Not surprising, I'm more shockt at the apparent dis belief on here, they massively over achieved last season when they were one of the favourites to get relegated, and have this season reverted to type, a manager lives by his recent form and ranieri's has been woeful, they lost again last nite and the scorelune still flattered them, sevilla hit post twice and the keeper was motm, they have hardly kept a clean sheet all season and forgot whwre the nets are, also ranieri has fell out with his no2 who is the believed to be the tactician at the club, and given there form his lack of input with the team has cost em,....we let shez stay on too long and look what happened....ok smaller scale but similar scenario.
all we are saying, is give us ...a goal, or 2+

I've a Leicester-supporting mate who posted this evening:

"An absolute gent in an era of self publicists, egotists, idiots and Rebekah Vardy. The game has gone, completely f*d and never ever to return.

Thank you Claudio for making an old man remember briefly what it was like to have that child like innocence and wonderment."

And this season he might as well be managing sunday league, no need for insults either.

Seems like its player power thats done for him after they dragged the owner into a meeting and complained about him....the same players that he dragged up last season to punch way above their weight and allow them to have massive pay rises etc this season only to let him down massively by being utter dog turd all season. Likes of Vardy who got himself two new contracts in the space of a year to be on £100k a week, lauded in the media for turning down Arsenal but would have been out the door for the second new contract then not capable of hitting a barn door this season or doing half the work, not the only one mind you, he got through last season.

The players need to have a long hard look at themselves for getting rid of a very good manager who turned the careers of a lot of them around last season only to be stabbed in the back.

They don't care though- that is the whole problem.

There has to be a balance between business and football. If the club can't run as a business, or in the absence of some benefactor endlessly pumping in cash that he's prepared to lose, the club will likely cease to exist (as we nearly found out a few months ago).
