Regarding food, I would criticise this country's tolerance of halal meat slaughter. I also dislike religious fanaticism of any description .

You think 'meat is murder' is 'a load of blocks'. Well yeah I believe murder is a word only attributable to humans so you're right in that regard but it's a fact that it's the slaughter of a creature is not in dispute. Is there a God? Almost certainly not. Thus, the two aren't even remotely close. One has far-reaching consequences, the other is, currently, a fairytale which drives fanaticism all over the planet. If you can't see this then I can only say this;
