He turns down a big Championship salary to focus on religion? Very strange indeed.

Here's another I found funny...

Deluded fanatics with unrealistic view on their importance in the world. No wonder he decided to take up Religion instead of carrying on at Wednesday!

Made enough money to retire, so he's retired. He can now focus on his retirement and the main effort will be spent focusing on religion.
Show class, have pride, and display character. If you do, winning takes care of itself.

Why, how much money he got? And it also depends on his lifestyle / outgoings moving forward?

Some players hate the game.
They are good at it but some see it as a job - others would play for nothing.
It's not always every boys dream

Probably earned so far about 2m??

That's more than the average working man earns in a lifetime? If he's looked after his money and doesn't live the high life, he maybe ok??

2m = 40k per year for a working man from 16 to 66. Obviously, you'd have to take tax differences in to account etc. He may have invested well? For this day. Who knows.

He's probably spent a lot of it, but if he doesn't live a high life then you're probably right.

given the fact that the lad is a devout muslim, i doubt very much that he's been blowimg the lot on birds booze and betting so the interest alone off a couple of million should keep in sandals
