Come on Dave, rotting sounds much more dramatic than simply "it's mucky"

the panel with the new Van Yard logo appears to have had a clean up prior to the signage being installed and now sticks out agains the rest of the panels on the west stand. You wouldn't even need a cherry picker either, some one like Gary Wilkes Cleaning Services with their pole-fed de-ionised window cleaning system would be able to reach it from the ground, I'm sure.

Not sure who's in charge of the ground maintenance (Colin Nellist?) as its common to see members of the match day staff out cutting the greenery round the car park of non-match days.

 Colin is stsdium manager but how much weight that carries when it comes to spending any money is anybodies guess. He wasn't initially consulted when the motion was put in place to make the groundsman redundant. So that tells a tale.
Many a good tune

Why should sub contractors bother how the outside of the ground looks.

Every member of the board and the ceo will see it each morning.
God I hate this league.

Just come past our SPIREITES and they've not even cleaned the panels properly where they've put the new sponsors name.
UNBELIEVABLE. But true.
COME ON Chris Turner GET IT SORTED.

I would have thought that it would make commercial sense to keep the ground in good condition - who would want to pay top money to have their wedding or party etc in a shoddy venue?

Exactly.

It's bldooy shocking. It'll get to the stage where the grime will cost fortunes to clean.

It'll take more than a window cleaning system to get them panels clean.
They want a jet wash to get the grime off.

It would appear from the casual observer that those in charge of the the club are happy to take as much out of it as is possible with little or no investment. (unless the interest return makes it worthwhile)

The back of the stands need to be scrubbed clean, and the vents need to be replaced as they are damaged, especially on the kop.

The turnstiles also need fixing. My ticket hasn't worked twice so far this season, first against Swindon and then against Northampton.

How is it rotting ?

Sounds like a simple soap and water job.

People can use what words they want if it makes things sound better. Main reason why buildings decay etc. And that's down to neglect, which is what's happening at the Proact. The main issue maybe cleaning at the moment, but if the lack of maintenance, and up keep carries on moving forward over the coming years, let's see what it looks like in another 5 years. It won't be a pretty sight, I tell you, and there will be much bigger issues than a bit of cleaning required.

It's not so much the cleaning that bothers me, it's what's being swept under the carpet!

thing is with the composite panels that the stands are cladded with, they are not going to last a lifetime, they will only come with a 15 to 25yr guarantee, maybe less, but they are easily replaced and in the bis scheme of things not massively expensive, it's a renewable commodity, so no big deal really.

Waste of time, you will get a reply saying your concerns have been passed to the appropriate person and then deleted

Last time I went in club foyer there was nobody on reception. There was a card saying there is a phone (somewhere) in reception for visitors to call the appropriate department. After five minutes or so someone appeared from upstairs but it was by chance. A less scrupulous visitor could have had the Anglo Scottish cup on his mantel piece. I only went in because when I phoned the automated service said last option was hold for reception which ended in some kind of mailbox message.

Can you not operate a phone then?

This is the norm for most business receptions now, why pay a receptionist £20k to sit and file her/his nails and answer the odd call or direct the odd visitor when everyone is contactable directly by phone or email.

I'm pretty sure the trophy cabinets are locked, and under constant cctv monitor.

But who monitors the cctv?.........
