Maintenance costs ££££££££'s but it appears the philosophy at CFC is wait till it breaks before we do anything about it, if we do anything at all.
Reap what you sow, everything's done on the cheap.

I appreciate it costs money, however, if you invest millions into something, why would you let it rot and not spend money on the up keep. Doesn't make sense. The ground was something to be proud of, am not sure it will be if no maintenance gets carried out moving forward over the next ten years or so. People moaned about Saltergate, the proact wont be far off that in ten years time the way it's going.
Disappointing more than anything that we had such a lovely ground to be left and no attempt made to keep it in top condidtion. Cleaning each month, year wouldn't break the bank.
How much would it cost for someone to clean up once a week around the ground - loads of Fag ends and rubbish all over the place around the car parking. Block paving at the main entrance left to sink, broken and missing kerbs etc. Just cleaning the external cladding once a year would be a start. General annual cleaning, wouldn't cost a fortune 10-20k maybe. I bet the gutters haven't been cleaned out since it was built etc. There is also moss growing in the brickwork joints in most places etc. Very disappointing.

Directors pre match drinks and buffet, half time drinks and buffet, full time drinks and buffet, bouncers to protect DA and CT, club expense trips to Portugal and Hungary for non required staff or extended trips, time spent covering mistakes = maintenance and repairs

Both of the above.
Let it run into the ground and it will ultimately cost twice as much to put it right.
The different coloured plastic sheets over the seats are another example; protecting them from pigeon Bunkum, left in place. IMO it looks poor on a match day and gives a bad impression.
Why not drape the large JPT Flag from the final at Wembley over the seats in the North East corner, that will also protect the seats!

:Yet another example of the inept management of this club of ours.

How is it rotting ?
Sounds like a simple soap and water job.

Come on Dave, rotting sounds much more dramatic than simply "it's mucky"
the panel with the new Van Yard logo appears to have had a clean up prior to the signage being installed and now sticks out agains the rest of the panels on the west stand. You wouldn't even need a cherry picker either, some one like Gary Wilkes Cleaning Services with their pole-fed de-ionised window cleaning system would be able to reach it from the ground, I'm sure.
Not sure who's in charge of the ground maintenance (Colin Nellist?) as its common to see members of the match day staff out cutting the greenery round the car park of non-match days.
