You voted out of the EU; as my good friend Frearsghost pointed out, one reason being the unelected leaders...

So, what do you intend to do about the monarchy?

Are you suggesting the Queen has genuine powers that she uses?

I'm suggesting they cost us a fortune and are unelected.

If they also exercised genuine influence then I'd have an issue with that, yes.

One of the arguments put forward by the leavers was the tax payer's money thrown at the EU for no apparent gain...the same surely applies here? Oh,and they are immigrants....

When the Queens pops off I'd be quite happy for them to slip into even further into the background.

The fact there are so many sovereign states is the main reason why the eu on its current guise would never work so what is the relevance of the OP in terms of the referendum ?

Strange segue....

But then do exercise influence. Do you think a minister receiving a letter from Prince Charles is not going to consider the views and respond in a way they never would to a letter from any of us?

Also those weekly meetings between the Monarch and Prime Minister, no-one knows what is said or what influence is exerted by the Queen. Now with the current incumbent that may be none as I would accept she has by and large kept herself above politics, but would it be the same with Charles or another future monarch?

I would love to see the split between what it costs us and what income they generate in tourism ect. I bet it's a closer split than the money going in to the eu for us to get back

I have another question for Leavers. I appreciate that many people may dislike or even loathe him, but please take five minutes watch the prescient pre-brexit video below. What are thoughts on whether the possible outcomes highlighted will come to pass? I am genuinely interested.

you could argue that point with a fair % of the british population.
do you realise how borderline racist you are coming over as with this line?

Purposely so, my friend....I'm being stupidly ignorant to make a point:

Immigrants, wasted money, unelected folk...key reasons why people voted to leave the EU, and that's the monarchy.

unfortunately that doesn't come over very well in the written word, add a smiley or something at the end of the sentence.
