Hi all, I recently made a quip about being hacked, How little I knew!!

For any Facebook users here is how to find out if you have been hacked:-

1. Select your Settings which is within the little down arrow top right

2. Select Security and Login

3. Look under the heading "Where your logged in"

If it says anything except where you are or where you have been whilst being logged in you have been well and truly Hacked

4. If there are more than your units there at the bottom of the locations is a button that says "Log out all sessions" hit it and

change your password straight away, I have also activated 2 step authentication.

Good Luck

Did you get screen shots of this Les? It might prove to be very useful.

Trying to trace I.P address might also help
A new hope.

Anyone who wants an easy way to stay in contact and organise events/keep track of photos. Can't be arrised with Instagram or any of the other Bunkum so facebook lives on unfortunately. Has some cracking music identification groups as well...
I just don't know what I'm supposed to be

Do they just have access to your fb account or all your computer files?

It will only be Facebook and even then just because a place you’ve not been is listed it doesn’t mean you’ve been hacked. Also you can just block the location I think. Just changing your password will most of the time solve the issue.

I use it to keep in touch with my ex squaddie mates who live all I've the place. I've organised a unit reunion and it was all done through a Facebook group. Much easier to organise than with letters, emails or phone calls.

I also use it to view the CFC Facebook page which is a good source for CFC debate.

Wasn't someone at the club hacked by someone from Scunthorpe to leave a vile insult to a fan?

Yes I do believe that happened , as does my unicorn.

Best thing anyone can do is delete Facebook. It’s hoovering up all your lives like a virus. It stores data on everything about you and sells it. Problem is so many people are compliant in letting them do it.

Just because it’s usd by a large amount of morons doesn’t make it a bad thing. Used correctly it’s a a very good way of keeping in touch with people you know all over the country/world.
There are also a vast amount of groups on there to cater for almost any interest you may have in any subject you can think of and those kind of specialist groups tend to be completely devoid of morons.

It has its uses and you cant just blindly say all users are idiots. As mentioned it can be a very useful tool for both individuals and businesses. There are idiots and there are folk that just share things without checking if its actually real or actually believing that someone is giving away a motorhome or some well known supermarket that cant spell their name right on their facebook page is giving away loads of £500 vouchers!! Plus there is always that person who shares the missing dog post from years ago in another country on the off chance someone spots it on another continent!!

I'm quite ruthless in that once folk start doing stuff that annoys me they'll be chopped from appearing on my feed.

Can frankly say I don't give a toss, never negatively effected me in any way, shape or form. Obviously I wish it was a more ethical and less cancerous company but it serves a purpose to me at no cost to myself, I'd be worse off without it.

There are groups on there for a vast amount of rare medical conditions. Support, information, consultant and treatment reviews available to those previously left feeling lonely and bewildered after a 'one in a million' diagnosis.

Use it wisely, and it is great.
