Pearson could possibly win manager of the last couple of months but not season..they were awful for a lot of it!

Look at Fulham, they spent £12 million on McCormack and the previous year Blackburn paid a hefty fee for Jordan Rhodes.
I recall Bournemouth's main noteworthy signing was Callum Wilson for £3million so in comparison, certainly not thrown money at buying the title.
Eddie Howe would get my vote

Not arguing with your sentiments; but Bournemouth have spent far more on players transfer fees than seems to be in the press. Per their accounts, their stock of players at 31 July 2014 had cost them £11M.
