Got there about 9am, massive queue so was a bit worried, never seen a queue so long in all my days. 30 minutes later had tickets in hand and loads of seats to choose from. They really had their stuff together to be fair.

Was sat on the front row of the grandstand for most of the match and then moved to the back of the Tavern stand close to the Pavillion after tea.

20 quid for a top day out.

What was your first observations of Lords?

Glad you got in mate..I know a lot of people don't "get it" , but a top day's play at a test match is as good a sporting event as any!

The list of players to have come from Derbyshire and play for England whilst with the county is not a long one, off the top of my head I can list Dominic Cork, Devon Malcolm, John Morris, Kim Barnett, Our Geoff, Bob Taylor, Harold Rhodes, Cliff Gladwin, Alan Ward & Mike Hendrick. David Steele was at Northants, Barry Wood was at Lancs,

It is worth noting Harry Charlwood only played for Derbyshire (and the Chesterfield football club) after his test career was over...
