Just need Biggs to tweet details of his contract/release clause etc., and how clubs of our size (insignificant) have to expect losing our top players to 'big' clubs.

If a club of our size has good players we DO have to expect to lose them to bigger clubs. God I really wish people would get real. We don't have a billionaire owner to protect us from financial reality so selling players is sad but inevitable.

Our other assets will start getting restless as well, if they aren't already

That's the knock-on effect. If I had any ambition & saw Clucas sold I'd be asking my agent to sort a move too.

But selling players for decent fees is a skill we simply don't possess. That was proved beyond doubt with the hasty, ill-judged disposal of Eoin Doyle.

Selling tenners for a fiver a time is a recipe for disaster. As is sticking a plaster on a gaping wound.

TBH I'd snatch their hand off. Good player, versatile but I would say not integral to team. Will be shot down for that but is replace-able and I'd use some of cash to secure Jimmy and wages for a striker. Unless it goes to pay off debt!!?

it will go to pay off the debt
Jimmy isnt staying

We don't just have to roll over & have our bellies tickled by anyone with a few pound notes. Doyle's departure, and the fee gained, I have no issue with particularly though the timing inevitability was poor.

I'd have more issue with Clucas, a younger player than Doyle with more versatility who will benefit from a proper pre-season with us, going for £750k.

If he goes what chance keeping Tendayi and Sami on a ship that if not sinking is listing badly?

I believe there's absolutely no intention of keeping them. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to decipher Allen's explanation as to why Saunders was appointed: " He's good at working with the kids..." or words to that effect I believe. There's to be a full scale clearout of anyone (and anything) remotely saleable.

I would want a million for Clucas as he is under a 2 year contract and we aren't under any pressure to sell him.

Whilst Sami and Tendayi may be better players they are a different kettle of fish as they only have a year left on their contracts! If we get bids of circa £750k plus for each of them I don't see any option but to cash in or they walk for nothing in a year's time...

They are worth more but without them extending their contracts we won't get it and we can do a fair bit with £1.5 million!

I think that's obvious and absolutely correct - it's simply a continuation of the process that began with the sale of Cooper and Doyle. Before anyone starts lecturing, I'm NOT saying we should expect anything else, as it's a simple fact of life given our financial situation, i.e. we have no-one willing to fund a serious attempt to move the club on.

Dave Allen is clearly reducing the debt and restructuring the Club to make it more attractive to potential buyers.

Then take into account the percentage sell on due for mansfield town and 500k is a snip, if he goes for that we know we've big big problems!!

Or is that a cheap way to tout your wares?
Easy way to put a player in the shop window.

Useless/pointless information, unless there is more substance, then the "2 clubs" can be Liverpool & Man U., for all anyone knows/cares.Maybe Mansfailed have offed £5k? And Accrington Stanley £6k. Pointless.

Let's know how serious you are at keeping quality players Mr.CEO.
Who and how much?

Of course it's a selling ploy designed to alert any other clubs that now is the time to make their move

we're like the whores in the red light district rubbing our breasts against the window, asking people to come and pay for us

(in instalments with sell on clauses)
