imagine renewing your season ticket half an hour ago and coming on the forum to read this little piece of information

my head's going

How anyone especially a ST could suddenly decide to stop watching Town based on one or two appointments is amazing.

Maybe if we were on the back of 17 defeats Yes, but before a ball is kicked is beyond fickle. We have had a lot worse managers and signings back in the Saltergate days.

is this a joke

seriously, stop it, we cannot sign players of this 'calibre'.

To be fair - Ryan was off to sign for non league Luton town, and now look at him!!! It may be the lad lost his way, and needs a helping hand to get back on track - just as happened with Shinner.
A new hope.

Maybe if he was a few years younger. Anyway, let's see how it transpires.

It does seem strange that one. Jimmy had won the local newspaper Scunny player of the year and their Chairman went out of his way to say as much as he would liked to have retained Jimmy the club couldn't afford to. Note this is not the same owner who six months later was splashing the cash.

If Dean Saunders can get him right, mentally and physically, and he has that desire some footballers get late in the career, to try to make amends for wasted years, we might have a guy who is inexpensive, and talented....with some experience.......rather than a Lee Richardson past it has been type of signing. That's what I`d be hoping for anyway.

If he does sign, we have to give him a clean slate and see how he gets on.

Look at Donal, played for some real non league dross recently and just signed for Rochdale.......it does happen sometimes.

A new hope.

Probably the best ever example is Tony Book. Having never tasted first class league football, he went from Bath To Plymouth at the age of 29 and then to Manchester City at 31. Played 244 times, capatining the side to four trophies.

Just because somebody doesn't renew their season ticket, doesn't mean they're not going to go to games and support their team.

Did i hear right ..saunders said that fowler is out of contract not getting paid and as a player he should be in the championship he also said he was similar to jimmy ryan so i suppose that means 2 things ryan is off but i will try to please them by bringing in a fat 31 year old...the thing is he then stated he could not move in for him...why...if he is out of contract is this saying that we cannot sign anybody untill all the others have stopped being paid ..i.e july

It's hopefully because he's not given up on Jimmy and nowt to do with the starting dates of new contracts.

I doubt it though. It's time one of our intrepid reporters got to grips with this 'like to keep OOC players' propaganda nonsense played by our CEO. There were identical threads last year asking 'why would CFC say they are offering contracts to Smith and Richards when they have no intention of keeping them?.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

We will have to trust Saunders judgement IF he decides he is worth a chance - he knows the player and has seen him more than us. His history is poor and my initial thoughts were that I wouldn't touch him. But - I've looked at a few of his interviews and performances at Crawley and he seems to have done OK and comes across well in front of a camera. On the pitch - winning goal volley from outside the box against Preston and MOM at Bradford. So I don't really know - over to you Deano.
