Is there any source to this rumour or is it just a case he's followed Saunders around?

He'd be the new Carl Lamb.

Except that he would be on the pitch rather than off it.
These go to eleven.

Watched Lee Fowler at Nuneaton Boro last season, as that's where I live, until he went to Crawley on loan and although you could see he had played at a higher level his fitness was about the same as mine, knackered. The first thing I said to a mate when Saunders got the job was "I hope he doesn't bring Lee Fowler with him", mate replied "shouldn't think so". He had a serious drink problem a few years ago but it seems he's OK now. Just cannot see how he could fit in at the Proact.

To be fair. Your trying to see how he could fit into Paul Cooks team. Wait til August and aee if he fits in with Dean Saunders' team of players.
Life goes on. Whatever happens.

That's true and a fair point, but from what we saw at the Boro he would struggle to get in any team. Having said that he seemed to be better at Crawley and maybe he's one of those players who play better with better players around him rather than crap ones. He had the brain but not the legs and carried far too much weight. If he does sign he needs to improve his fitness 100%, hopefully he will and prove me wrong, hope so.

Average of 1 goal a season since 1999, battled alcoholism 5 years ago, overweight 5ft7 inch 31 year old. Not really a mouthwatering prospect.

I can vouch for at least one of those.

I know very little about this bloke but it has been suggested he has decent ability, just an addictive personality maybe that has seen him waste his potential. Yes he's 31, but if he has the footballing brain and a decent pre season with Shinner, he may be a decent enough acquisition, on the right terms. After all, if anyone is in a position to sit someone down and draw on their own personal issues and experiences to get them firing again, it's Shane Nicholson.

Loves his ale that lad. He can make up for the shortfall in The Barrel's income left by Cook.

Fowler was a name mentioned by the bloke at radio Sheffield, Saunders gave his views on him, it's not like DS brought his name up first as he wants to bring him here.

Saunders may feel he can transform him into the player he oughta be but he has his work cut out - like with Armand. We can't afford too many might be good players, we already have Harrison who looks like he needs a bit of work.

I assume that bugle means something different to what I would use the word for as it doesn't really fit in with the "birds" part.
