Slade has to win on Tuesday or he'll be signing on.

I think Russ Wilcox will be looking over his shoulder aswell now. Spent a lot and not looking any better than last season.

He can always fall back on his role as Ralph Wiggum in The Simpsons when it happens.
The greatest miscarriage of justice since my case against the producers of the Never Ending Story

Vale have been on a downward trajectory since the start of the year, when they were nudging the play offs.

Unfortunately for most teams nowadays managers have a shelf life that generally lasts around 1-2 years, in which they often restabilise a team, get them playing better, nudge them up a division or within a division, then come to a peak after which things start to drop off. If things drop off for more than a few months its bye bye time.

This works for both the team and the manager, as the manager has invariably achieved some level of success before the inevitable axe, and the team can build again with hopefully not too much damage done.

Ole saying they parted company due to a different philosophy..I assume Vincent Tann's philosophy was that a manager should win a few games, whereas Ole's wasnt..
