What's that got to do with us? We play Braintree!

The fact that your talking about games being moved for TV and the mention of Havant and Waterlooville.

BBC Game confirmed as Warrington Exeter on Friday night.

BT Sport games Halifax v Bradford Sunday lunchtime, Havant & W v Preston Monday night.

I think we will be on the interactive show on Sunday.

As mentioned earlier in the thread this gives us a decent chance of being shown live in full on a foreign station (probably one of the Eastern European / Balkan sports channels - they seem to show a fair few 'odd' cup games) and if that happens there will likely be a stream for those not able to travel.

I wonder when they will announce the kick off time. I'll probably go if kick off isn't some ridiculous hour like > 5pm. It's a good 3.5 hours each way on the train even from the West Midlands and trains are notoriously unreliable on Sundays so getting back could be a challenge...

If it's on that Sunday interactive show then kick-off time is 2pm.

No worries. Just from past experience TV seems to favour the bigger teams like Bradford or Preston, and the 'novelty' teams who Warrington seem to be this year (think they are the lowest ranked left).

Looks like we get £12,500 for being part of this thing on the Sunday although i'm still not entirely sure how it works....are all 8 games live and you can choose which one via the Red Button or is it going to be like Soccer Saturday and we'll have some annoying pundit like Garth Crooks telling us whats happening...probably badly!

The latter, but with what I guess will be 'live' replays as well.

I think it will show key highlights and goals from every game as they happen, a bit like Sky Sports News do now with the Champions League/Championship on soccer special.

Braintree have announced now that game has been moved and they have secured additional funding/advertising from the Council they will be reducing their ticket prices accordingly. So it wont be 18 quid after all.

Exactly, Braintree already cover the games in good enough quality if they are just covering goals

The idea that BBC will send camara teams to all 40 ties is barking mad

They don't; each region has two outside broadcast teams; the remainder of the coverage is contracted out to Media services.

Not seen the offering on SSN, but these multi-game shows are quite popular abroad - Sky Sports Germany do one on Saturday afternoons for the Bundesliga and Russian TV do them for CL/EL. They work pretty well cutting between each match and swap to incidents in each one in realtime (ish). Be interesting to see if they take the approach of one commentator in the studio covering all the games (as they do in Russia) or have separate ones for each game.

For the Champions League on Sky they have seperate pundits watching some of the games, but then cut to Alan McInally for the goals highlights.

You might make the second half if going via train, first train from town leaves at 8:40 and gets you there a full 6 hours later.

Nice consideration for the fans from the BBC and BT - Exeter to Warrngton on a Friday and Preston to Havant on a Monday aren't exactly appealing either.

does anyone think the club will fund any coaches to Braintree seeing as though the fans have been inconvenienced, p****d about again!!
£12.5 g from the tv coverage should cover some coaches!!

Yeah - I think there may be some track work being done on Sunday. The trains for Saturday from here were around 3h20 with 2 changes but on Sunday its 4 hours with 3 changes. With past experience of "Rail Improvement Works" on Sundays, I'd advise anyone thinking of getting the train to consider if there is a better option. (tho with that journey time, nobody from town will take the train I guess). I would have gone for the original time but I'm not going to risk a travel nightmare on a Sunday - I'll probably watch it on TV now.

Sounds just like that

Also read somewhere that they'll be a highlights program at 6pm but it isn't mentioned in the article
