Doyle = Colin Smith

His name is Colin Smith
I have changed his name to protect his identity, but wanted to make my point.
Colin is a decent bloke, steady enough but will never break any records. Just above average been with the Company for about three years. He will never set the world alight but does enough every minth to warrant the Company employing him.
However..........
In September he was very very prolific. He topped the Sales Leaderboard and everything he sat he seemed to sell. It was a golden period for him and some of us thought he has changed his style or he had found a magic formula.
October has seen him return to the norm however and that unbelievable three and a half week period Colin endured is over and normal service has resumed.
The question........
Is Doyle Towns equivelent to our dear old Colin Smith........

Whats the "norm"????
He has scored 24? goals this calendar year, split over two divisions, scoring more against "better" opposition.

Well our 'Colin Smith' was clinching deals for a quality product in his purple patch but nobody can get a net return for the rubbish he is currently being asked to dispatch. It sounds like your Colin Smith has some poor support as well from the tone of your post. What position do you play? I feel sorry for Colin if he's relying on you for a pass !

Didn't Colin Smith play for us a few years ago? Yes, 'Colin Smith' has played for us under a number of aliases - I'll start you off with Barry Conlon .................................

Not having that.. A good salesman goes out and grafts his own return! He doesn't rely on a team to generate his leads!

He scored when he was getting good service and he's not scoring when he's not getting good service, as in recent games.
I'm not sure why people feel the need to pull down a striker that has scored a lot of goals already this season and works his bottom off for the team in every single game.

Funny you should say this - we have a bloke at work called Eion Doyle and he isn't half as good at his job as the Doyle that pulls on a town shirt, and the one at my place gets twice as much service from the rest of the team.
No moral to this story - but if you want to have a pop at a player just do it instead of using smoke and mirrors. Doyle hasn't scored for ages - but isn't he still the top scorer in the league?

Yes he is, second only to Ronaldo(in the stats I can find) in Europe.

My only concern about Doyle is that at the moment he is running himself into the ground trying to close players down, when the ball does break for us he then isn't really in the position he'd like to be
