Never rated him as ott as some people and clearly his standards have dropped since Crossley's left based on the amount of errors he's made this season which are clearly there for all to see.I don't see that as turning on a player just an observation of poor form.

Never as good as some people make out. That's why he's still here. Singling him out as the main culprit as some people are is abit harsh though. Down at Colchester most of the team were poor. Walsall wasn't much better. The thing with Swindon was that they were a fabulous side for this league and we played into their hands and suffered the consequences. The effort was back to a certain extent but we played the robins at the wrong time when confidence was a little low and maybe the tactics weren't as they should have been for this particular match.

There needed to be at least one extra man in the wall for the free-kick.

And that man needed to be 8 feet tall as the ball passed over top of the wall and crossed the line in the middle of the goal about chest high

Whether the ball swerved late or Lee just anticipated incorrectly we'll never know but he won't look back on that as his finest moment

There were just three men in the wall and as their player was running up to take the kick, I said "There aren't enough men in the wall !" .... and then, BANG !!! .... it was in !

Very poor decision ! .... Who's call was it ? .... Tommy ?? Well, even if it was, Evatt, should have sorted it out and made sure the wall was bigger than that. A three man wall directly in front of the nets is just asking for it !

If the wall aint right nobody to blame but the keeper - he's the bricklayer ! Sounds like it went over the wall and straight down the middle anyway, and if that's the case a few extra bricks wouldn't have done owt. My East Stand few left me bewildered as to how it went in !

He might not have aimed it there had the wall been different. Who knows? A man short in my opinion.

The ball swerved to the left and then straightened up I was on the Kop in line with the Free Kick

There was actually only 2 in the wall. Oscar was standing in no mans land marking thin air

Lee would've set the wall and if he didn't it makes him even more culpable. It was if he wasn't really expecting a shot

This is the main reason clubs loan players out to get them game time and get them up to speed do you think Villa would have loaned us Johnson if he was ready for their first team.

Johnson looked fit from day one. Gobern was running with moon boots on in the second half. Chalk and cheese mate.

Never Tommys fault, however i dont think he has been anywhere near the level he was since Crossley left, whether that is just a coincidence or not is another thing

I really don't like this sudden turn on Tommy :( He's gone from being the best keeper outside the prem to being league 2 level without ever actually being an average league 1 GK at any point. Whether he was overrated in the past or is being unnecessarily slated now I'm not sure but I really hope he can sort himself out.

Would be very sad to see him go personally.

This isn't a knock at Tommy as he's still a decent league one keeper and a very good league two keeper, but where we got the best keeper outside the premiership rubbish from is a mystery; I've never understood all the hype around him tbh. That said, he's low on confidence at the minute and I'm not surprised with that defence in-front of him! Would I take a better keeper... Of course I would, but that goes for any position in the team. He's not top of my list for the players I'd like to see replaced put it that way.

For me our best outlook is what we all wanted in the first place and that is to stabilize this season as a league one club. In the summer Evatt is out of contract and if Cook chooses not to renew it will free up a good wage to help improve our weaker areas (just as long as Cook doesn't go and bring in another attacking midfielder and ignore the critical areas that need strengthening  )

Does anyone know why Tommy has had his left elbow and shoulder strapped up since the start of the season ?
"Its much more important than that !"
