prediction:

Pompey 1-3 Chesterfield

Reasons:

We are a good side in decent form, Cook didn't seem happy about the Southend performance, despite the victory and will demand an improvement

Portsmouth have not started well and have almost an entire new squad with a massive weight of expectation (even more than with us) and a big home crowd who might get mardy if things are not going to plan

We have enough attacking talent to score plenty of goals this season, the best midfield we've had for some time and a solid enough defence, think we'll have too much for Pompey

Biggest L2 match of the day, Football League show to be there doing extended highlightes (pure guess) Good following from Town and a big crowd ala Elland Road. We'll turn it on big time, for the big stage (again) 0-3 Town

Portsmouth 0-3 Chesterfield

I think we're probably better suited to playing away, particularly with one up top, and I can see us picking them off.

1-2 win for the Spireites

Reason:- Because I'm a born optimist, with Rose Tinted Glasses!

Portsmouth 2-5 Chesterfield

Richards, O'Shea, Doyle Roberts and Ryan.

Reason, because we will.

My guess is you will say Portsmouth 4-1 CFC. Reason, because we play wrong formation, wrong players, no height in CM. because Richards and Oshea will play, no creative players, poor at the back still etc etc. and we will get found out by them and take a beating.

Come on, you're dying for us to lose.

Team for Saturday.

Lee

Talbot Hird cooper smith.

Ryan Morsy

Darikwa oshea Roberts

Richards

Portsmouth 2 chesterfield 0.
Because their midfield is far much taller than ours, they have a creative midfield player, they have a striker upfront who scores goals and a defence that will cope with the mismatched, mismanaged and talentless team that we have.
I don't really believe that this will happen, but I just wanted to get this in before you said it.

Rob. What more do you want. Major changes have taken place behind the scenes in terms of PC's support team and we are much more professional. The youth set up is way ahead of a team of our stature ... Of which I include the CFC village. The team is a different animal in terms of aggression purpose fitness. Of course its good to debate whether x player is better than y player but realistically we have as good a squad as could have hoped for.
The work we do with the community personally warms the cockles of my heart.
DA and CT are incredibly open and our plans / Ģ situ is completely transparant and we as supporters are encouraged to suggest how things can be improved. Of course there are no guarantees but I'm really optimistic of promotion this year ... Ups n downs amongst the way but that's part of the experience.

Mate come on.

Mine is a 0-2 win with a solid performance as simply put we are a better side than Pompy.

Sadly I see this thread as an opportunity for your good self to post some I told you so comments if for whatever reason we lose.

My prediction is that win lose or draw you will put a deliberately daft provocotive post on here generally slagging our midfield an nathan smith.......shame the bookies wont give odds on that!

As for the underlying reason.....best ask your therapist or optician!

My prediction

Pimpey (As they will forever be known) 1-3 CFC

Underlying reason- We're the best side in this division, and despite Pimpey's tag as PSF's, Connolly apart, they look anything but. Not to mention I'm the polar opposite of you, who even by your high standards Rob, you are talking some utter bullshėt this season.

What's yours?? Our MF isn't creative enough??

You make my itchy cutter laugh.

We'll score 2 goals. I don't know how many Pimpey will score.

Just because we can...

Tbf, this is the 1st week on TFF prediction league I've had us scoring anything but 2 goals! You're miles ahead of me in the standings btw.

Pley op Pimpey, Pimpey pley op!!

Just think, he can say every week 'we will lose because.......' and he will be right as likely not at least 9 or 10 times, and we would still walk the league.
