It was deserted lol. We went about similar time to Ur lad, not sure if it was busy earlier, but it was embarrassingly empty at 1.30 ish

Went past at half eleven and first thoughts were that the car boot had wound down early. Only while waiting at lights I remembered the open day. Would say about a hundred people about and some attractions with lots of space between them. Went past again at 2:45 and it was all packed away.

went down, it was a bit sparse to be honest, training on the pitch was a bit of a non event, mostly mal p doing exercises with them, then a bit of crossing practice, 2 or 3 players did not take part but were there, so no gossipy rumours there, no sign of any of the board members at all, probably say 200-300 max there, oh there was a fire engine and 2 horses wandering about, walking away I did not that there was a cfc coffin on display outside the east stand

I think the problem was that once the players had gone after training and signings, then there's no real draw to keep people there. People go to see the players.

The timetable of events was put out last week, clearly stating that the player signings would finish at 12.30. If we hadn't have been able to go this morning we wouldn't have gone once the players were gone.

Does anyone know anything about the commemorative sign that was supposed to be unveiled at the open day? Hopefully that's not gone the same way as the raffle tickets

Open days are there to get the kids through the door and entice them to come to games.
By autographs etc.

If it's adults getting the autographs etc it's a bit pointless

Perhaps the number of people wishing to have their name engraved on the sign didn't cover the costs and the club are hoping we've all forgotten about it. Maybe if somebody brings it to the attention of Ashley Carson he can tell us what a 'farce' the whole thing is.

I admire your loyalty

But lets start to face facts..........

The Club/fan relationship is in a terrible state and nothing is being done to heal the rift

Sad times

It wasn't actually the club, it's a firm that makes them for funeral homes called colourful coffins, they can make anything you want. Just don't pee off the other half or you could end up in a Mansfield coffin!!

I saw a photo of them and the looked ok I suppose. Does anyone really care what they're laid in though in their final journey?

When the time comes when I start thinking of paying my own funeral I'll be Picking the cheapest one going!

It will be a shame if this doesn't go up, and a bigger shame if I'm the only one to have paid!

We've got to have something positive to mark 150 years than just a tiny logo on the back of the shirt! So far the best idea is the Ernie moss statue and that won't be coming out of the clubs funds if it happens
