Football in UK gets ever crazier. FA Chief Executive, Richard Scudamore, who earns a mere £2.5 million a year, is set to retire. Premier League clubs are being asked to donate £250,000 each to make a retirement thank you of £5 million to this destitute gentleman. Absolutely disgusting. Ok, he’s helped to negotiate big TV deals but this sort of money has its origins in the pockets of supporters. Have they been asked what they think. Not on your Nellie!

And then we wonder why every small town in Europe has a first class football pitch meanwhile our kids have to wait for the dog shine to be picked up in our shine hole of a country

They're all at it.

Football is being run by a select few, for a select few. You only have to look at Andy Holt's battle with the EFL to appreciate what is going on.

Note the source. But I'm sure it must still be completely true nonetheless :)

He could use the wedge to buy and run CFC. Put some money back into football.

How about raising £5 million for grassroots football instead of this rubbish.

The idea that PL clubs could drop 250k into the collecting bucket for (almost) anything without missing it is equally obscene.

Reading the article it seems this is all the idea of the Chelsea chairman who just happens to be a mate of Scudamore and the other clubs don’t support the plan at all. Quite rightly they reckon he’s paid enough with the bonuses he already gets and have probably told Bruce Buck to get shafted.
