previously denton had scored 3 goals but seems to have developed an injury so just as he starts to find some goal scoring form he is halted. I liked the idea of signing shaw but it is just not happening for him sadly, martin allen has tightened us up but then in tight games you do need someone who can take maybe the only chance in the game that they get.

denton - needs crosses from the line to be effective in front of goal
fortune - hold up player, never been a number 9, skilful but not clinical
hines - really a winger but can't/won't do the defensive bit to be effective, talented player but not an actual striker
shaw - yes but clearly this is not a level he can be effective at
levi - give him a go
gozie - out on loan for a reason, he didn't do enough here

= no you're right we don't have a reliable striker who can score goals

What we need is a really tall one who can get on the end of long balls. Haven't Alfreton got a decent one we can have.....

i do fear for us this season unless MA can somehow get a goalscorer in. The strikers we have got are not going to score the goals we need to stay in this division sadly
