The media coverage has been shocking for a long time, Adam Hulme did a great job when he was in the role.

Said exactly that on the other message board wanting to see Smiths goals both well covered on others you tube channel but as you say if you don't subscribe to ours you can't see anything. Can't see why they can't share it later on. Even Sky pay for view is shown free a week or so later

You think they will have thought of that? Wishful thinking.
It's obviously a major headache for Nick J.
Surely one good way of doing this is to ask one of the AD's to contact the college Media Studies dept to see if they can incorporate highlight editing and much more as part of their course? Job done.

Yep I can, following another nice conversion with Nick J, who filled me in..
The problem on Tuesday occurred because Sutton refused our request to be given a copy of the match video. This means that the only evidence travelling back to Chesterfield was the CFC Analyst's video which, on MA's orders, is a very wide angle view that is not really suitable for quality highlights. At CFC, opponents are given a proper video which very often travels back with them on the team bus or by car. Regretfully, many teams in this league will not reciprocate.
A camera suitable for recording highlights is ironically taken to away matches but is only used for the post match interview. One possible solution which Nick would consider is the provision of free bus travel and ticket to any reliable person who is capable of setting up and using the equipment, perhaps working alongside the analyst. Another possible solution is to try to find a sponsor who would fund the activity.
I think the good news (not sure though) is that the problem is a one season one. If we are promoted then the reciprocal agreement works fine.
PS. Our home video is produced by students.

It's not a 'one season' problem then 😅

I'm probably doing a nice guy a disservice but isn't the primary requirement of someone in charge of communications A DESIRE TO COMMUNICATE?
As a club Chesterfield "naturally" displays little such desire and perhaps its eagerness to keep plenty of stuff hidden is actually infectious.
Martin Allen, however, does seem personally keen to communicate. Unfortunately all too often he confuses communication with simply saying things.

I think that's a bit unfair. He seems to me to give up as much of his time as is necessary and he thinks about his answers. Perhaps if there were more questions that didn't start inanely with 'how important is it..?', all of which elicit the good old 'very' or words to that effect, that put him on the spot then it would be more entertaining and informative. The questions are boring and his boredom shows sometimes.

We've an owner who's repeatedly scapegoated punters to the point of casually re-writing reality.
He's a henchman who's blatantly surrounded himself with cronies then appointed yet another controversial character to a conveniently created position.
At least one of those cronies is behaving like some schoolyard snitch whilst strutting around in a 'Don't you know who I am?' style manner.
Meanwhile calls remain unanswered, e-mails ignored and what appear basic IT issues persist.
It's as if senior figures are sticking two fingers up at the fans...

Senior figures are indeed sticking two fingers up at Spireites Digital customers. They receive a very lucrative 5 figure sum in which is independent of the service they provide to us Spireites. Carson should be investing some of that money on dedicated resource to give us an adequate product.

Yes the fingers are well and truly up. They have been for a while. We, are the "scum paying public" that they look down their nose at. Well, Dave and Ash look lively and fook off.
We don't want you no more.

Well I did apply for the media post when it came up I did not get a reply mind you, I am well versed in using professional TV Broadcast equipment, could you send me a link or an email address for Nick Johnson?
