The fact that Ashley has been handed the task of negotiating a sale on behalf of Dave Allen tells us all we need to know of the likely outcome.

As somebody quipped last month, Allen would be better off paying somebody to take it off his hands. Many a true word.......

I find it impossible to reconcile news of Allen putting so much money in with 'I have been receiving some positive updates' from Mike Goodwin.

The debt to Allen increases, the likelihood of any sort of Trust financing along the lines that folk have been speculating about recedes by the week, and yet Carson is reporting positive updates. There goes another flying pig.

Could it simply be as Allen's irretrievable outlay rises, so does his willingness to offload?

There surely comes a time when it'd be easiest just to hand over for nowt.

Though whether the Trust have funds to maintain such eye watering outgoings is another matter...

I would like to have read that we've approached Harry Redknapp. He's looking to buy s club.

Top ups of £770k in four months!?!?!?

Oh my god. How on earth has that happened? 2 months of that has been with staff furloughed so wages aren’t an overhead.

Wonder how much of that is for payments to ex managers and their staff?

183 staff wow! 10k A week to get players and staff back in training. Interesting to say the least.

Assuming the statements are reliable (which I actually believe they probably are) they are quite insightful.

770k hole in 5 months - considering last mo tho he didn’t have to put anything in and this month it’s only 25k is scary but not totally suprising mind

Presumably players and staff can't be both furloughed and back in training.

Nope, therein lies the problem I guess for when we want to restart pre season training.
I guess we will hang fire until there is a new dates for SOS - early Sept is what we are working towards but won’t be any earlier certainly.
Government announcing forms must oh 20% of wages now also from whatever date, won’t help us.
Seems like we’re 250k a month short in Jan, Feb and March based on those numbers which is a hefty hole

Agree. I also doubt Carson is personally penning the updates, they are nothing like his words from the past. Me thinks there is a PR expert at work.
If not hats off to him, he must have been on a seminar.

The PR expert needs to proof read his/hers reports as there is a grammatical error in them.
The other bids bit seems bizarre in the current climate, as buying a lower league football club at the moment would not be good business.

I see this as Ashley's monthly Board Report and as it's a complete waste of time sending it to Warner or Croot, he's letting us vet it.

On that basis, perhaps he could give us a breakdown of the £770k?

The updates are a positive, in comparison to what we have become to expect, however the reference to our ex-captain and the state of the training ground was a cheap shot.

These updates are far more professional than we are used to. Not sure they are via a PR guru though, maybe just a peer review

The way he’s run clubs into the ground whilst manager I dread to think what he’d be like as an owner!!

The fact that Ashley was in charge of bringing in managers/director of football tell us all we need to know of our current outcome also.

Why don’t we offer the ground up to the PL to stage some of these PL games that need neutral venues?! Be some money in that

I'm told the reason for so much top up since Xmas is hardly any revenue coming in and AC terminated association with Claire White about 6 months ago as part of cost cutting measures

The association must have been terminated for quite a while, because on here he's a director:https://www.clairewhite.co.uk/testimonials/ashley-carson-1"Board support?" I wonder what that was? Her firm used to provide a corporate newsletter for the Assay Office, but I can't think of anything like that coming from us in the recent past.
