Looks like Smith's turned down Town's 1 year contract offer. AC'statement refers to the other 5 ll having accepted them in principle.

Let’s hope so.

Not necessarily.
It actually says that all have agreed in principal. Although he's named certain players they might just be dotting and crossing on Smith's contract at the moment.

A straightforward statement with no false fanfare this time.

Thanks for that, Ash.

However dismissing the whole CFCFDS thing as someone else's fault, to somehow scapegoat Turner whilst adopting the same old 'Manuel' approach ('I know nerrrthink') challenges the facts.

Because you were handed a dossier of allegations by fans. As witnessed by your associate Steve Coe. Who was himself a 'partner' to Sutcliffe's shambles.

Then I was one of several supporters who raised questions at this 2016 meeting: http://www.thecfss.c...showtopic=58797

Many, many more of which are documented here: http://www.thecfss.c...showtopic=56809

Yet it appears you ignored the lot. Infact you stood staunchly by the then CEO declaring 'He's going nowhere' at one point.

So sorry Ash, the idea you were once again just an innocent bystander at the Club where you were a key figure just doesn't wash...

To what extent Ashley was involved with CFC Football Development School Ltd could be determined to the extent of disciplinary action and subsequent litigation Chris Turner has faced to date.

A few of us were questioning the development school throughout.

Why get people to run it with no experience of anything similar in the past? Always a recipe for disaster.

Like the new Academy unless big changes are made....

Thats the point, Ashley (speaking with his CFC hat on) is saying the club (other than Chris Turner) knew little to nothing about what went on across the road as it was a totally seperately entity from the football club....

Agreed, Derbyshire Times says we're "still in talks with other players about possible new deals".

First post on the 'Questionable Enterprise' thread was Feb 3rd, 2016.

Carson sat alongside Turner at a meeting where concerns were raised in November the same year.

Not sure when the dossier of allegations was handed to him and Coe, but I'm guessing it was before further issues emerged.

There were also several stories in the local and national press.

If I were the bloke paying the bills, I'd be very interested in why all these alerts were ignored...

Our Mr. Sutcliffe had plenty of experience with one attached to Rotherham. That was a shambles, too. He was/is just no good at it.
It's nice to be able to Trust again.

Given the alleged amount of money that former employees of the school say went unaccounted for it may suggest actually he was very good at it.

I've also just read the below again. Does anybody know how you receive items ordered on the online store given they still allow an option for collection which I chose to save the ridiculous £6 delivery fee?

Retail/Replica Kits
It is looking likely that the Club Superstore will have to remain closed for now. I am looking to try to sell all the remaining PUMA stock we have for £5/£3/£1. Ideally, I would like to re-open the doors, but the alternative will be purchasing online. This morning we have nearly 100 orders sat on the system. Thank you so much for placing these, it is very much appreciated. I have now taken the decision to un-furlough Lisa Smith and Angie Barker to deal with these from this Friday. Until the lockdown is relaxed, I am sorry but they will currently not be permitted to answer the door and serve you.

Top ups of £770k in four months!?!?!?

Oh my god. How on earth has that happened? 2 months of that has been with staff furloughed so wages aren’t an overhead.
A new hope.

Maybe they've extended the services from Mr Coe and given Carson's kit man buddy a pay bump

Wages still have to be paid but furloughed wages can be reclaimed, maybe the latter hasnt happened? Either way still very disconcerting to say the least.

I find it impossible to reconcile news of Allen putting so much money in with 'I have been receiving some positive updates' from Mike Goodwin.

The debt to Allen increases, the likelihood of any sort of Trust financing along the lines that folk have been speculating about recedes by the week, and yet Carson is reporting positive updates. There goes another flying pig.

Agree. I also doubt Carson is personally penning the updates, they are nothing like his words from the past. Me thinks there is a PR expert at work.
If not hats off to him, he must have been on a seminar.

The fact that Ashley has been handed the task of negotiating a sale on behalf of Dave Allen tells us all we need to know of the likely outcome.
