Which browser did you access buzzer pad? I initially used Safari and had problems, then used Google and that worked fine.

Don’t worry, he’s just making excuses for not doing very well. I did rubbish as well. Great fun though.

The questions are ridiculously difficult this week and it's kind of sucked the fun out of it for me

I guess it makes it harder for people to search for answers in the allotted time, and plenty have got plenty right.

Tough tonight. There were 4 or 5 that it was an educated punt on two of the answers and I was wrong each time. I got them right mostly in the last three.

You've hit the nail on the head with the desire for people to make an 'educated punt' - like any pub quiz, if the same people win week after week, it becomes less interesting. Maximising the educated punt option spreads the chances of different winners and closer contests, which happened in spades last night. For example, no one would have known off the top of their heads how many games both Ernie & Kev or Dents & Boden had both scored in, but the correct answers were the most chosen ones, showing the educated guess angle, whereas only a third of participants got the photo of Martin Gritton and Colin Heath right which I thought was dead easy!! The great thing with multiple choice and no time for googling is that everyone has a chance and I think that's where most people want to be.

I got the Heath and Gritton one. Pretty simple I thought.

I do intend to get back to winning ways next week though!

It also needs pointing out that due to the lag, there’s no point answering in the last 10 seconds. I get a noise alert and a tick or cross on the Buzzerpad page with 7/8 seconds left.

You do but as you don't instantly get the update as to league positions until the clock has finished so later responses could still count.

I think the quiz is getting better with lessons being learned every week or is that because I finished 5th, although pipped to glory by lucky guessers
