Great week for Sterling and Rashford. How about a statue of them?

Zaha falling over to get himself a free kick for that Palace goal. Someone would be spitting fire if Sterling had of done that.
If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything!

There's an article on the BBC sport website Have a look here about Zaha and it includes his stats for goals and assists (with ranking position) in the premier league since 2014/15. Here you go:

2019-20: 3 goals (=65th) 3 assists (=42nd)
2018-19: 10(=25) 5 (=35)
2017-18: 9 (=23) 3 (=68)
2016-17: 7 (=33) 9 (=6)
2015-16: 2 (=122) 1 (=153)
2014-15: 4 (=69) 2 (=90)

A quick look on the premier league website for Raheem's goals and assists show:

2019-20: 12 goals 1 assist
2018-19: 17 goals 10 assists
2017-18: 18 goals 11 assists
2016-17: 7 goals 6 assists
2015-16: 6 goals 2 assists
2014-15: 7 goals 7 assists

Another stat line is the career totals in these categories:

Zaha: 207 games. 35 goals. 24 assists. Source
Sterling: 251 games. 78 goals. 44 assists. Source

Even being generous and adding approximately 25% extra to Zaha's totals in order to make the games played even, he'd still on be on 43 goals and 30 assists.

Zaha is a very decent player.
Sterling is a world class one.

Basically its fashionable for idiots to hate Sterling

During the World Cup he routinely was rated worst England player on the bbc website public votes for each game which was quite frankly ridiculous

I can’t believe this thread is still going on

World class?
He’s good, and in a team that is man for man much better than palace he consistently produces better stats than Zaha.
But does that make him world class?? Does he consistently tear teams apart and turn in star man performances in Europe and for England? Do other nations talk of him as world class? Is he wanted by top domestic teams around the globe?
No, I don’t think so. Top domestic league player, decent international, not world class.
Very similar to Gerard in that respect.
If you do what you always do, you'll get what you always get.

Depends on your definition of world class.

Is he wanted by other clubs around the world? I'm pretty sure if he was available he'd be in huge demand.

I was spitting feathers watching yesterdays Newcastle v City game.

Late on Sterling (who'd had another great game) was still charging round and Martin Keown commented:

"...he's blessed with natural fitness..." WHAT?? I couldn't believe an ex-pro had said that!

Just the three goals tonight. 27 in all competitions. 7 in 7 since the re-start.

City doing poorly, Pep clearly lost his head and the reason they're doing poorly can only be due to Raz not playing

City played 16 games so far this season....Sterling featured 15 times for them this season. He's started every game but two (EFL Cup v Bournemouth coming on in the 67th min, Spurs in the league coming on in 72nd min) and been subbed late in games twice.

Doesnt appear to add up to losing his place.
