Raheem Sterling looks like he is trying to find a way into the Olympic diving squad after a laughable piece of tripping himself up to win a penalty against donestk tonight

We cannot get penalties in the Natinal League when opposition defenders literally pull the shirt off one of our forwards or punch the ball with two hands into the Kop yet 5 officials on the pitch tonight cannot spot a blatant case of cheating to win a penalty

Surely the permanat use of VAR at the highest level matches would eliminate theseevents on the pitch

Didn’t trip himself. Tried to shoot and kicked the floor. Refs awful decision.

Makes those officials next to the goal even more pointless.

He didn’t dive. He kicked the ground. Should he have owned up? Probably. Would he own up? Never. Refs fault, not Sterling.

Sorry but look at the height he gained when he eventually fell over

Surely if he did not mean to kick the floor deliberately he would have just fallen over?

So Sterling didnt intend to cheat but once he realised the ref had given the penalty, surely by not owning up he is now cheating?

Of course he's never going to own up, but he can't be excused of any part in the wrong decision.

Shocking from the referee, not Sterling.
Show class, have pride, and display character. If you do, winning takes care of itself.

Except he didn’t dive and didn’t even appeal for it

Hands up all those who didn't celebrate when he scored the two goals that helped us beat Spain recently.

FFS he kicked the floor and the officials got it badly wrong...

If you think Sterling is bad, it’s no wonder you think Denton good.

Keep fishing.

He's turned into an exceptionally good footballer and is improving. If he was at Barcelona he'd play every week.

For me that’s cheating. If he didn’t intend to go down and he did stub his toe unintentionally he should’ve owned up.

Haha

Seriously

If I played 90 minutes all season for City I’d get 20 goals

He’s a complete headless chicken with the ball at his feet

For England, surrounded by decent if not world class footballers, he’s an absolute joke, City’s ballers carry him,

Barcelona?

If they wanted him they’d buy him, couldn’t tie Mahrez’s laces

I’m sure if Hines trips himself up in the box and wins a joke penalty on Saturday we will all be giving him grief for not owning up and demanding he deliberately misses the pen.
