E
Bolton apparently close to signing Sarcevic, too.

With a few more signings of his and Doyle’s standard, they should be a shoe-in for the title next season!

Or belly up by Xmas with financial issues again!!

Strange decision. Especially after keeping them up. They should never have gone there.

They are not seeking applications for his replacement. Make of that what you will but it would suggest they've already got someone lined up to take over....

Wanted a better transfer budget apparently. Huddersfield in a financial hole.

He was a coach at leeds before Bielsa arrived, not an established part of his coaching team. Seems high on him though and Bielsa has one of the most gifted football minds out there so it's quite a compliment to be admired by him.

Looks like Dean Holden has joined Cook on the shortlist for the Bristol City job :-

Gregor MacGregor @GeeMacGee
#BristolCity head coach update: Dean Holden has also been interviewed and shortlisted. He joins Paul Cook and Chris Hughton in the final considerations with an appointment close. Holden impressed in the last five games + has important support. Even though it was just five games, Holden impressed the #BristolCity hierarchy at the end of the season. A lot of the players have a real connection with him and within football he is seen as a guy with a very bright future. He's a genuine contender.

Looks like the admin haven’t accepted Cooks resignation, as they’re desperate to keep hold of him to be able to ‘cash in’ on any compo when another club takes him. However, the amount due depends on what division wigan are in when he leaves, which is a little up in the air currently! Also, cookie was apparently due a sizeable wage cut if they went down, so his ‘best for everyone’ comment appears to be actually ‘best for Paul Cook (no surprise there, though).

Bristol bound. Don't think Bournemouth would touch him personally after clean cut Eddie.

Let's see what he can do without such immense backing.

Oh, hang on... Burnley 👀
