Danny Hall signed for Crawley Town - apparently Fletch's recommendation swung it over 2 other offers Paul Harsley still interesting York but there's no way they can match the wages he was on with us according to their manager.

Steve Evans was delighted, he said, '' Danny Hall is a lad who has impressed me every time I have seen him play. He is very good in the air, something you would expect of a lad at 6'3 but he is also very quick and that is a major asset for any central defender. Pace is also something we identified that we needed at the heart of our defence and we have now got that''.

Hall is Crawley's 2nd summer signing, their first one was Michael Kuipers. I didn't realise Crawley finished as high as 7th in the conference.

Good luck to him. Believe he's now found his level but always seemed an honest and genuine guy.

Both laughable cases really. Hall must believe he's no better than that level and why would York want to even attempt to compete with the contract Harsley was on here? Would any league manager want to touch Harsley?

Hall has only dropped a division, makes you wonder if the Stags, the graveyard for our disgarded centre backs made him an offer, it would explain why he plumped for Crawley...

Agree about Harsley, a CV with only a handful of games at league level in two years is unlikely to get him a deal with a league club, except on conference wages in his specialist position as fourth choice midfielder.

I thought Hall would have tried his luck with some league clubs a little longer before opting for non league.

Some of the conference wages that you hear about would be a waste on a player like Harsley.

Seems like Hall didn't get an offer from a league club, unlikely one would do so now, if he hung around in hope he risks the club that did make him an offer securing other targets.

Hall says the offer from Crawley and the intentions of the club were just what he was after so he jumped at the chance. He also said although he's dropping out the league the standard of the two divisions is pretty similar so doesn't matter much to him. Bearing in mind that they only just missed out on the play offs and had days earlier signed a keeper that has had been at Brighton for 10 years where he'd had 3 promotions and was a fans favourite pretty much shows the ambition of the club. Also consider that getting on for half the clubs in our division get poor gates and have recently been in non league.

That's a good move for Rundle, Morecambe seem to always get close to promotion, i expect them to be up there again next season, hopefully below us though.

did Morecambe say Rundle is fast? hahahah

He is one of the most frustrating players I've ever watched. All he seemed to do was come on and slip everywhere at vital moments. His crossing was shocking, they'd either go straight out for a goal kick or would be floated in at a ridiculous angle that nobody could actually get to and realistically get a header in on goal. Very poor player. Really annoying as well cos he showed glimpses of ability in his first couple of games.

I missed his first couple of games for us and didnt see him til the game against Rochdale. I was really looking forward to watching him after seeing some rave reviews about him on here including some from people who are known to like a moan. I must say i was very unimpressed and he didnt live up to the hype. From there on in he didnt seem to be involved that much.

Would have liked to have kept Hall here myself, don't think he was any worse than others we've got, and had time on his side to improve too.

That's our best central defender gone, then. Best of luck to the lad.

As for Rundle, his indecisive crossing was the result of having nobody to aim at half the time. He'll do well at Morecambe under a really good manager - beats me how Morecambe manage to hang on to him.

I thought Hall was one of the worst passers and his postional sense was awful and made Alan Boxall look like a world cup player and no wonder Shez didnt take a shine to him.
