Turnstiles

Just wondering if the turnstiles are operated by man or if it is an automatic scanning system?
My friend has bought a concession instead of an adult. Wondering if it will matter for him to save himself 4 pound and just scan himself in.

They have a lighting system that shows what type of ticket you have, I think orange shows concession and green is normal ticket

if he leaves it till 2 mins before kick off should be ok the turnstiles have a traffic light system with a stewarded behind keeping an eye on who goes through but they normally go into the ground just before kick off

You're joking right? Never seen a steward anywhere near behind any turnstile I've ever been in.

Of course falsifying records, including electronic ones, is false accounting. This is covered under s17 Theft Act 1968 and carries a maximum sentence of ten years. If you let me know where your (sorry your friend's) ticket is for I can check whether there will be stewards specifically looking at those turnstiles.

Easy to sort out if he goes to the ticket office with plenty of time before the match

Must admit as a 12 year old I did try a heist on a sweet shop, almost got away with 20/30 odd assorted black jacks and fruit salads, so I'm no angel
It is on the scale of someone doing small scale shop lifting, do you condone that?
Or put it another way, stories like this go all the way back to Saltergate and CFSS, where you'd be cheating the club not some millionaire, would you be so sanguine about that?
