Setting off on a Tuesday afternoon on the Bransons supporters coach on the long and winding road to Colchester and stopping for a drink at the Half Moon on the way to Worksop
I cannot remember the drivers name but if memory serves he hated football and was a barrel of laughs not on the away trips
It would be in the late 70s

Local derbies on Boxing Day.
I know you get them in the NL now, but I'm talking a packed Saltergate against the likes of the Bowls and Barnsley.
We always used to go to my Aunties in Nottingham on Boxing Day and I remember one year (about 77/78) going to Forest v Derby, 12 o'clock K.O., legging it to the station to catch a train to Chesterfield to see Town v SWFC. I think both games finished 3:3.
