If the tweet I saw yesterday about how the handball rule will be done next season is correct we’ll be games with three or four pens will be the norm!! Basically anything hitting arm or hand no matter how it’s come about if the ref judges the player to have made himself bigger with his arms ie pretty much all the time then it’s handball. Basically gives attackers free license to just kick the ball at defenders arms and it’s a pen.

Apparently there is (per the BBC) a clause that says:
“It will not be a free kick/penalty if the ball is knocked on to a hand by the player in question or a nearby player”

Are you for real..?
We were a football league club then, now we're a ramshackle non league outfit run by idiots..mind you we were run by idiots when we were a football league club!
I honestly want the best for out club but I will never forgive or forget the way it's been run these last few years.
Whatever happens in the long run I hope and pray that those accountable for the demise are eventually held to account by whatever powers that have the authority to do so.

as things stand dave allen has sent chesterfield fc to their lowest status in living memory, this is the reality of his legacy.

Ultimately DA yes, aided and abetted by some horror decisions by his senior staff have put us here. Nice ground though as part of the legacy.

Tidy little ground, in particular the clubhouse - not keen on the slope or the cricket pitch though. Saw David Hirst talking to Ashley before ko. Was that Uriah Rennie I saw as well?

With all due respect... I don't think we can read anything into playing Hallam FC away. Lets wait until Dover at home and the first 4 or 5 League games before we all start to comment / panic / praise / laugh/ cry or whatever !!!

I assume that you mean Bob's Board and not the other Board that runs the club. Although, thinking about it.... :)

My take is not to take too much notice of friendly results. They are there to assess players' fitness and strengths / weaknesses etc.

Speaking of daft results, in the Europa League today, Hadjuk Split from Croatia got tipped out by a Maltese team; then there's poor old Kilmarnock...

Even Caldwell couldn't better that one...

The Kilmarnock result is a bit like us losing at home in a competitive match against Glapwell...

Nobody’s fit, nobody’s played together before. It’ll show.

Time to panic is some 3rd August we’re still in this position. Anybody writing us off after 45 minutes really needs to take a step back and think about where we are in our preparations.

Nobody's fit???
On what basis is this statement made?

They've not played for 2/3 months is probably the best indicator they are likely to be a bit rusty. Looking at some of the players social media accounts who've been getting tanked up all summer is another.

They're 4 weeks into Pre-season and are about as fit as they are going to be from now until May
