Reserve team, but without being involved in organised matches. Most of their matches will be behind closed doors friendlies, which is why we are taking money from Sheffield United. Basically it's a covering the gap between youth team and 1st team.

That is interesting. When Valemadness suggested the development squad was to bridge the gap between the youth team and first team, I imagined the typical age profile of a player was going to be between 18 & 20 years of age, yet this lad is 23 in November and has hardly played any professional football.
