Thanks for all the staveley info guys.
Spireradio could make a good listen regarding Chesterfield,but by god they've got to get the sound right for reports and commentary.

Two positives from todays game at Staveley. No10 Mandeville looks very sharp, quality movement on and off the ball, quality first touch, spin, turn and pass. Quality player and will bring something to the table this season. Also No 19 in the second half on the Left Wing. Fast, quick, very skilful and glides past defenders. He will be trouble for the opposition next season. I think he was a trialist... does anyone know who he was...? small blonde hair No19 on the left wing. Shezza needs to sign him up sharpish !!!!

PS: Lets not panic just yet !!! Matlock will be more of a pointer when I would expect Shezza to probably put out his best starting side for next season.

Daniel Bramhill (previously Chesterfield academy, sold to Everton, now released)

Tbf they were working on 1 phone with a splitter for 2 headsets. Unfortunately they will only be doing updates during the matches, due to licensing laws.

Wow. This could possibly go down as Carson's greatest achievement at CFC.
Get it on, bang the gong , get it on

positives;
Coddington looks a big improvement on anyon. wedgbury and Rowley both looked good, levi and rawson had a good go at it, nice finish from levi. impressed with jack holmes.

negatives;
jack mackay failed to impress, lee shaw also looked very ordinary. maguire did not look comfortable in that role today.

don't think too many of todays squad will face dover in a few weeks time

According to the league website an attendance of 2,417 which would make it by far a record gate for Staveley although it didn't look like that many to me

Not another one!

Thought Luke Rawson did well. Hopefully he'll get a chance to get some game time season coming. Apparently he's been linking up well with Boden in training.

I for one think Luke can have a big impact on the 1st team squad if he takes his chance this has to be a good time to push his career up the ladder whilst we are in the NL. Same for Levi he has to make that extra effort because both these two know where the net is.

Regarding Coddington, what did he have to do?

They’ve tweeted the crowd was 2147. Which is quite ridiculous for them. That’s probably not far off what they get for the whole season home gates combined. If true, they’ll be set for the season.

Regarding Coddington, what did he have to do?

I know what you mean, just thought he organised well, showed some bravery when their lad went in on him, these are 2 attributes I never saw from anyon, hence why I said an improvement.

Right back 15 looked decent. Shaw not really up to standard. Needs to go to Alfreton I'm afraid. Second half defence looked in need of development squad +

At least we know the ground's up to it if the worst comes to the worst and we end up ground-sharing there. Cosy with 3k in there under floodlights little better than your car headlights.

It’s the first time I’ve seen Shaw. I think he’ll be gone before too long.

This scoreline doesn't bother me.

What does bother me though, is the idea we're relying on triallists and possible loanees when they surely should be 'padding' to a signed-up squad.

Don't say this very often, but it looks like Carson's 'budget's been cut' comments were accurate...

Jake Bennett, had him on loan last season but none saw him play as he got injured in training the day after signing and went back to Sheffield United.

Is Wedgbury likely to be that powerhouse midfielder that we seem to be lacking?

Worth another look in the next few games.
