This thread shows how difficult it is for sons of their club’s management and coaching staff to justify a pick in the first team.
Lampard is probably the most successful of such players, yet I recall the large number of callers from West Ham to BBC’s 606 bemoaning his appearances; and he relates tales of jeering from the terraces at his every touch; or even when he started warming up from the bench.

What can I say, seeing Sam Muggleton try and turn has scarred me.
To be fair it’s not just him, it’s just that this entire club has been full of it for years, it goes beyond players. But if Sheridan thinks he’s worth a deal I’ll try and trust him, not that he gives a toss.

I’m with you, players like Frank Junior come along once a footballing generation, the rest are destined to be considered as being there only because of Dad.
Mum, tell Dad it’s not worth it.

You never struck me as naive
Maybe his son has genuine talent?

You had to get to games early, but there were extended periods of the 2011-12 relegation season where the best football on display was provided by Sheridan's lad, taking part in an informal pre-match warm-up with the trainees.
It's nice to be able to Trust again.

Shame Nicky Laws lad wasn't a bit older when he was manager. Don't think we would've moaned much about that one.

Let's not forget the level of Staveley F C.
God I hate this league.
