Because given the owner's record - selling players when crowds were on the up yet backing managers when falling - I think it's long been established no such link exists.
Infact 'Deepthroat' suggests there's an ongoing examination of expenses which could, quite possibly, see more exits.
So whilst we should definitely have sympathy for ordinary employees being made redundant perhaps the question ought to be why the wage bill has been so high for so long?
Oh, and by the way; if I were a volunteer - so desperately needed for a game watched by barely a thousand people I was forced to miss a popular protest - I'd be having a long, hard look at my role in light of others losing their jobs...
