Seems it can be real as the FA has standards for where and how big sponsors can be. Front of shirt can only be a rectangle or circle in the middle of the front of the shirt.

Yeh...pretty much Paddy Powers standard social media policy.

Of course it's real. I mean, who on earth announces a new kit that they can't play in?
It's nice to be able to Trust again.

They've come out and announced the actual kit now, it will be sponsored by PaddyPower, however the point is to remove sponsors from the shirt, so they've sponsored Huddersfield without any sponsorship on the shirt.

As predicted great bit of PR / Marketing from PP and a topic that a lot of football fans will get on board with.

In a time when the gambling industry is being scrutinised more and more around responsible gambling, sponsorships and advertising this is a different way of getting out in the market in a fairly cheap way. I've seen the numbers they've paid Huddersfield for this, and it looks a very good investment for the traction and interest it has gathered

Would expect this is the first of many of these stunts this season as PP will look to use HTFC throughout.

Everyone still knows its a gambling firm sponsoring them though whether they are on the shirt or not. For all this talk of the self imposed ban on televised football we'll probably see more gambling advertising that before.

W2W advertising by gambling firms comes in from August during live football.

On the kit / PP theme another one..

Paddy Power would do anything for publicity. As if they as a bookmakers give a flying fig about 'saving' anyone's shirt.

PP pulled another good marketing strategy yesterday for the Huddersfield game. Before the match they did swap shop for Huddersfield Fans, anyone who returned an old sponsored Huddersfield shirt received the new shirt absolutely free
