Ismael sacked at Watford

That was announced on the football league highlights show before it was even announced by Watford!

Watford should just put all managers on 6 month contracts as no one seems to last longer there these days

What a stupid appointment in the first place. He’s becoming a caricature of himself.

It was, the bloke was based in cornwall i think as well so a long hike. He should have retired years ago. Surely thats him done now in management

You'd think so but some never seem to be able to let it go.
I'm sure if he did, he'll cover the bills with a bit of punditry work on Sky

Only rumour and media conjecture I know but Southgate to be the next Man Utd manager?
That would be as hilarious to see as a full box set of Fawlty Towers and Phoenix Nights watch continuously!

He's virtually said thanks but no thanks by saying he's going to see out his contract with England until it expires (currently) in December. Now we know a manager's contract is written on tissue paper and will probably hinge on what happens in the Euros. Plus with the news emanating from Jim Radcliffe that they are going to alter the role from Manager to Head Coach and that they are going to buy the players and dictate the playing style over him I don't think Southgate would want to work that way.

😂😂😂, could see that more of a disaster movie. Southgate is a decent England manager but as a Premiership manager erm no, not unless it's one of those that are unfancied, like Crystal Palace or even Sheffield United and see themselves as yo-yo clubs.
Man United will do naff all until a manager is allowed to build for the future, over at least two seasons, but both the board and fans want instant success because of who they are.

Unfortunately the requirement for instant success has flowed down the pyramid, with many lower league clubs adopting the same mentality, and most get the same
(non)level of success.I would say that is where there is a need for fan voices in all boardrooms to give a footballing perspective and reality check.

Very true my friend. Probably, more clubs fans need to go through what we've had to endure for a few years, and it didn't just start when we dropped out of league football either. It started with a little Welshman and we went from bad to worse until Paul Cook came a calling once more.
Going back to Man United, if they win the FA cup and nowt else, they'll see it as a poor season but a trophy on the scale of the FA cup is a big deal.

I can think of a lot of clubs I would like to see go through seasons in the NL,but very few I could really wish it on after experiencing it.Must be old age mellowing?

He's not a decent England manager, he's fortunate to have the best English players in a generation to pick from

A good England manager would have won at least one and possibly two trophies with this squad. I’m not expecting success in the Euros this year.
