Newcastle "considering Bruce to replace Benitez" according to Sky SN......let me just replace this Aston Martin with the Lada Riva!

What's wrong with a Lada Riva?

Bury have appointed Paul Wilkinson, fresh from his taking Truro City down as caretaker. Budget cuts afoot there again?

These go to eleven.

Looks like Steve Bruce and his assistants have tendered their resignation at SWFC in an attempt to leave and join Newcastle. This one will run, talk of legal action to stop them being appointed at Newcastle unless they pay the relevant compensation package which apparently Palace had to do when Bruce resigned to take the Birmingham job back in 2001.

I know we are resigned to it but Steve Bruce is a particularly good example of all that is bad in football , no loyalty, over inflated sense of ability and a propensity to chase money....

The Newcastle\Owls\Bruce saga takes another twist....Bruce confirmed as manager as Newcastle are losing 3-0 to Wolves in the Asia Cup then Wednesday issue the following :-

The Club is disappointed to learn via public statement issued by Newcastle United that it has appointed former Sheffield Wednesday staff Steve Bruce, Steve Agnew and Steve Clemence.

Regardless of the fact that the staff resigned from their positions with the Club on Monday, there remains outstanding legal issues to be resolved between the club and the staff and Newcastle United. The Club is currently considering its position and taking the appropriate legal advice.

No further comment will be made by the Club concerning this matter.

Seems they are still of the thinking no agreement has been reached, story is Ashley just deposited £4m into the SWFC bank account yesterday thinking that would solve all the issues but Chansiri isnt accepting it.

Alan Nixon (who seems to be in the know with most things) on twitter is suggesting that Bruce isn't the issue, moreover that its his backroom staff that Chansiri is digging his heels in over, Agnew and Clemence.

Yep read similar since, thats far more messy as whilst Bruce had a set clause in terms of compensation there is nothing for the assistants.
