The well established league one side Sheffield United do not consider us rivals? Seen as half their support live in North Derbyshire and Hope Valley I find this bordering on Bowels arrogance

http://www.s24su.com...terfield.36230/

If they weren't bothered about it, why have they sold out their allocation & so desperate to watch the game they want to buy tickets in our ends!!??

Of course it's a local derby, they are 8 miles away!! pretty local in my book!

I personally don't have a problem with United! Loads of mates are United fans & looking forward to it

That's a shame. You condone violence irrespective of the possible consequences. One punch, not even a hard one can result in death. It happens everyday. If someone is acting the goat, I believe it's best left to the coppers and stewards to sort out.

Not read the whole thread but how does what you replied to apply to westbars confining violence ? He is more speaking who carries the can if it happens.

They better hurry up and get promoted then so they don't have to lower themselves again.

When I had more of a soft spot for Derby than I do now I went to Filbert Street for a game that saw pretty much a relegation play-off.

Derby scored and I stood up, momentarily forgetting where I was, and I quickly changed my cheer into a massive foul mouthed rant as if I was abusing the scorer.

I would without doubt have got a thrashing in the Leicester kop.

3 of us stood in the popside end of the baseball ground when town played derby in 85,dont know why we ended up in there but agreed to keep it shut then ernie moss crashed one off the crossbar and without thinking we all jumped up and looking round everyone was watching us,new we was town fans but no trouble and that's how it should be.

Am I the only one who finds himself swimming against the tide on this one? In my view it's wrong for an organisation to openly sell tickets for an event, then prevent the purchasers from enjoying what they've paid for. As another poster has said, it's quite embarassing that our support isn't good enough for us to take up all the tickets for home areas for the most local derby of the season.Other sports manage to cope with opposing fans mixing, so it's about time football fans grew up and learnt how to enjoy these occasions without acting like infants squabbling at a 3 - year old's birthday party. I believe, in fact, that our fans would have been mature enough to handle the situation, and that this action could well result in causing far more serious disturbances when those who have paid for admission are refused entry - a really daft move IMO.

but how many town fans are giving this game amiss anticipating theres gonna be trouble.i wouldn't be surprised if a few parents are missing on this game.

Don't be daft, this will be one of the best atmospheres at The Proact this season - there might be trouble amongst their own fans I'll give you that but that will only be icing on the cake.
God I hate this league.

I'm not saying there wouldn't be an issue, I'm saying I don't agree with the mentality that opposing fans should not be tollerent of each other's loyalties I work with a Stags fan. Does it mean I should have chinned him when he came in gloating about six points?

come on mark, your not a wet behind the ears kid. How long have u been going to football matches?
A new hope.

It appears to have gone from us losing out on a full house when the game is sold out to them now complaining about breaches of the Data Protection Act because Sheff Utd have shared their membership database with us. Pesonally without knowing the ins and outs of said Act i would have thought that sharing information in order to prevent trouble isnt an issue and they have no case.

Why a database? A simple question of "Please say Hole in the Road" when buying a ticket should have sufficed, any "Oil in t'rord" should have been refused

Or been shown a picture of Sean Bean. Anyone who shed a tear and saluted, no thanks.

It's days like today that I really miss Saltergate, when the Cross Street end was most welcoming for gobby away support
Derbyshire is Derbyshire
Yorkshire is Yorkshire

Never the twain shall meet.

Of course I do but I don't find it as acceptable as others. Hooliganism is far from being stamped out.
