I can't remember everything exactly but thanks for clarifying

I reckon a 20% slash on that player budget would fit both a big reduction in player costs that Carson burbling about and still provide a very pleasant budget for a half decent manager that Allan is bullshining about.

Over to you Mr Caldwell

I agree with your first sentence and could even stretch the 20% to 25% but

No way can I agree to your second sentence "over to you Mr Caldwell".

I can take some of the mis-management at Board level having lived through years when the only information we got was via the DT. At times, I think we learn too much nowadays and it only adds to the problems. What I cannot accept is a manager that seems to have a reputation for falling out with players and who has lost the fan base in a very short time saying it's not down to tactics but every time he plays his chosen style we get slaughtered whilst failing to waken up the opposition's goalkeeper.

I want to buy a season ticket for next season. I don't want Caldwell here to spoil next season for me. The sooner he goes the better and the sooner he goes it will be cheaper for the club. Whatever his pay-off it will be the same whenever it is and it is the Board's fault if it is substantial because they signed it and should have learned from past experience.

All I was saying is "over to you Mr Caldwell" and that is what it is.

That statement doesn't suggest for one minute i have confidence in him. Far from it

Surprised you have said this given the good work you did chasing up Carson's lack of clarity

The player costs, including basic wages, bonuses loanees and NI clearly come to £2.9M.

Players £1,960,246
NI £302,425
Players Bonus £182,600
Players Appearance Money £132,000
Loan Player’s £305,347

I doubt things have changed too much this year

See above

What on earth happened to justify the thick end of £200k on bonuses?

Another interesting comment in DA's programme notes:

"I have purposely not gone out of my way to seek a buyer. I thought it would be better to give time to local business people and those who purport to know how to run football clubs the opportunity to come up with a sensible proposition. To date all we have seen is a few 'tyre kickers'."

Once again, given Allen's arrogance does he consider that he has done a good job with the business? He has failed on every objective he personally set for the business:

1) Profitability.

2) Debt Reduction.

3) Championship Football.

The business is saddled with unacceptable levels of debt which it has no chance of repaying and the prospect of a worthless balance sheet come June 2017.

Taking this entirely at face value, why has Allen overvalued the business so severely when anyone else would consider their "investment" a liability.

The bigger question though is who suceeds him. Phil Pakinson maybe.

Another interesting comment in DA's programme notes:

DA's programme notes have not been given the time and attention they deserve, which shows that even the most diehard fans now don't give a s**t.

'I am no man's fool' says the Chairman who let Turner and Sutcliffe loose with £200k of CFC money to start the Development School.
'I am no man's fool' says the Chairman who not only didn't rate Wilson, but also allowed Wilson to get rid of key man Mitchell.
'I am no man's fool' says the Chairman who listened to Turner say no savings could be made, then announces redundancies.....

.....ad nauseum

Obviously, that's a good question Dave.

But, wouldn't it be nice to know who applied previously and who was on the short-list with GC. I'm pretty sure though that if we formed a committee of 6 BB members to interview and choose the next manager we would struggle to come to a unanimous decision.

So, it is not an easy job getting it right and with that, believe it or not, I sympathise with AC, but what I don't sympathise with is if we have not learned anything from recent history and not ensured that there is a low-cost termination clause in any contract offered to a prospective manager. This is the case particularly with an out of work manager being given another chance to be one of the 92 managers of a football league club. If that guy has any confidence in his own ability and is out of work the last thing on his mind should be how much he gets for failing.

Dean Holden was one (the compensation Bristol City required ruled him out) Neil Redfearn another
