I was at the game. I believe that sending off had Bob Newton swearing on the radio.

I believe you're right. He called him a 'cheating f*cker' on the then new Peak 107FM didn't he?

I went with a family member that day who was disgusted at the chants from some of the Town fans. She wrote a letter to CFC and got a reply from Barry Hubbard I think.

For those that remember the conceit of "we'll never play you again" Fulham, 3 defeats on the spin just proves what goes around comes around

Early days but here's hoping

Then again they have poor travelling support but will have parachute payments so they may not be an asset to the third tier

Got the same in the Chesterfield Arms whilst flogging fanzines!

Alongside a comment of 'Fanzine? You ain't got no fans'.

They weren't so cocky when a number of their lot received a shoeing in Town, mind, one having his jaw broken if I remember correctly.

It'll merit no more than a rye smile if Fulham continue to plummet. Brighton, on the other hand.....

theres not many clubs i dont like  but fulham are one of them.
loathsome set of 'new money' fans.
could happily see them continue their downward spiral.

I remember the 'never play you again' taunt from either Brighton or Cardiff, I think the former.

Let's hope Cardiff come down, I would love to see them fall through the floor to League 2.

It would be nice if they found themselves floundering downwards, but they must've had PP from the Premiership and it hasn't done them much.

Craven Cottage was our first showing on Match of the Day ( not that we have been on many times)

A 1-1 draw in 1980-81 with Birchy scoring an equaliser and Barry Watson celebrating behind the goal on the highlights

Today's 5-1 thumping at the hands of "promotion rivals" Derby wouldn't have done Penfold any favours.

He must be getting close to the sack, already??

I went once on a Sunday morning to CC, league 2/ division 3 about 4000 there.

I went to that too. Had stopped overnight in Northampton with a lass from Darlington who was at college there. After a very pleasant Saturday night 😍😘 she wasn't impressed when I got up early Sunday morning to go to the match. Never saw her again.
Ah the freedom of youth.
