For those that remember the conceit of "we'll never play you again" Fulham, 3 defeats on the spin just proves what goes around comes around

Early days but here's hoping

Then again they have poor travelling support but will have parachute payments so they may not be an asset to the third tier

There you go.

Thinking back I'm sure my report on that afternoon ended up in the Crooked Spireite.

Remember Dutch getting sent off, didn't he "go through" Paul Peschisolido, who had just been doing keepy uppies mid game taking the pee?

Also, recall them coming here, needing a point to guarantee promotion. Jamie Hewitt played a one two on the edge of their box and slammed in the winner, half volley, 1-0 in front of a bulging away cross street end. Party on hold (for another week at least!).

Saying that it was probably the bandwagon jumpers who were more vociferous rather than the dyed on the wool fans never the less..knackers to em.
As an aside from that here in my beach side hotel in gorgeous red hot Cyprus it really is noticeable how fickle many football "fans" are.its quite amazing how few Man Utd shirts are about where as every other English guy seems to be wearing the latest Man City shirt..surely if they where life long City fans these shirts would have been readily apparent in years gone by regardless of their second place to Utd in the trophy stakes!

I remember the 'never play you again' taunt from either Brighton or Cardiff, I think the former.

Fulham are right up there with those teams for me when it comes to irrational/rational [delete as applicable] dislike

My favourite Fulham memory is beating them 1-0 on the last day of the season in the late 80's under kevin randall's management. It kept us in the old 3rd division and I think stopped them making the play-offs. If I remember right Jamie Hewitt missed a penalty, but dave waller scored not long afterwards and we hung on for a 1-0 win. Reckon they also had a player controversially sent off which cheered them up no end. :)

Is my memory correct anyone?

The ones that remember us really dislike us btw. Met a group of them in London and they claimed some of our fans attacked them in another match at saltergate some years later. I think it was a game where we beat them 1-0 in their 3rd div championship season under Keegan (Did Hewitt score that goal?)

There is one listed for the 7th May 88 where we beat them 1-0 but no info as to scorer etc.

90% sure it was an Andy Morris tap in at the Kop end with about 9 mins to go?

I was at the game. I believe that sending off had Bob Newton swearing on the radio.
Guess I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue!

Blimey Fulham are surely one of the 'nicest' most inoffensive clubs out there!
