I hope he gets paid on a percentage of what new money he actually brings in to the club. Otherwise it's just an unnecessary cost in my eyes. I'd rather spend money on sending the miserable old goat in the ticket office on a Customer Service Skills course ( also known as smiling, saying please and thank you, and acting like the world doesn't owe you a living.)

Given our record with performance bonuses, I'd hope he's on a flat salary!!

Lets give the club their dues. There is no way this guy will be seen as a cost. His job will be to bring a lot more income than his salary. If he fails I am sure he will be out on his ear pretty damn quick. He might even be able to make the concerts pay.

People moan about concerts being poorly advertised, not enough cheap deals for certain games (kids for a quid etc), PR 'disasters' such as founder member stuff etc etc

Club hire an employee to tackle this kind of stuff..........

People moan!

Folk will moan with the same sarcastic comment on here or Facebook about can he play up front etc until the point we sign someone they deem good enough that they dont moan about it but when said striker hasnt scored 10 in his first 5 they will moan he's crap and make up his wage packet to use as an argument.

PS....to show what we're up against this season in terms of finances Bristol City have just forked out just shy of a million quid to sign Kieron Agard from the Millers and given him a 3yr deal i suspect on rather decent wages bearing in mind Agard turned Leeds down last week!

Ok money talks but I'm more curious about a possible lack of self belief that he can't hack it in the championship, a bit like Smalley bauking at league one when we went up., he's not threatened the move uo since, obviously found his level.

Not sure but he`s a top bloke. We were on the first bus back from wembley and he greeted us back as he had been doing something at the ground so couldn`t go. Also wasn`t he the whistleblower that brought Darren Brown to justice?

Jim does a lot of work ensuring we have the games sponsored, match ball sponsors, spends a lot of time speaking to businesses interested in advertising.
Take a look round the perimeter of the pitch all the advertising boards are a result of Jim's efforts in attracting sponsorship.
Jim is a guy who has this football club at heart and puts in a lot of hard work that often goes under the radar
